He was a good stalker is song from the game series “stalker” made by GSC gameworld. It is set in Chernobyl somewhere in the 2000’s if I’m correct, and is a alternate history where Chernobyl went through a second emission and now is host to mysterious anomalies and mutant creatures along with a host of factions. People who enter the zone and have no alignment to any big faction are called stalkers. The song played here is played by an in game stalker who has a guitar. This guitarist plays a bunch of different tracks too but, “He was a good stalker” is one of the more popular ones from what I found. This video here is an atmospheric edit of it that adds sounds from ingame in it. I apologize if I got anything wrong, I’m just going off of my memory. Edit: Oh and to awnser your question, I’m not really sure, probably not.
I've returned to this three times now, something about the atmosphere is so fascinatingly unique. It's sad, but peaceful, and the song spins a unique story. I had never even heard of S.T.A.L.K.E.R before this, but now I really can't wait to try it out. Which game should I play first? Any advice?
@@criseist9786 Oh boy, let's hope the rest of the stalker community doesn't read your opinion. There would be a civil war in the comments lol. The debate is so heated I've just stopped playing stalker altogether, since I'm new to the series but idk what to do. The old games seem indeed like a headache, but if I don't play them I'm missing all the context and the worldbuilding. Idk ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Play the original first, if it's a bit too crusty for you there's quite a few QoL mods out there to make it a bit less cumbersome for a newcomer. Ignore all these people saying Anomaly first, sure it has the atmosphere and the levels and a bunch of cool content, but save that for later. Playing the original games first will help you appreciate Anomaly so much more. If you don't have time for the whole series and just want one, play Call of Pripyat. Again, the whole series has a large dedicated mod community, the original games can be a bit janky, especially on modern systems, so the mod community out there probably has a solution for any issue you run into. TL;DR Don't skip to anomaly, play one of the originals and get some QoL mods for them if you need to.
Your vision gets blurry as you begin to realise that everything anybody else said was false... And that you are trapped in the zone... For an eternety... Left to rot with your fallen comrades...
No studies, no good work in your city, the only way to earn money Is hubting artifacts or begin an mercenary, you only can send money to your family, but maybe you Will never seen them again
Even those who leave the zone are bound to come back. At first I thought it was because of brain scorcher, but now I know it's not true. Everyone comes back because only in the zone they are truly free. Only there stalkers can experience the real life, see true faces of people and act as they please instead of acting as government or society tells them to. You can't leave the zone, because once you experience the real life, you can no longer deceive yourself and will always crave for it.
You take artifacts from the Zone, thinking money will be compensation for your effort. The Zone has its own tax, and the first price all stalkers must pay is their hope. After that, they will be taxed their sanity. Then all that’s left is their lives.
