I had always hoped that someday I would have an opportunity to meet this amazing man in person, but his legacy, message and inspiration lives on through all of us fans. I have heard this reference delivered a few different ways, and it reminds me of what a friend had said. Though I do not consider myself a religious person, and hold my spiritual beliefs very personal, my friend had said that "by not using the gifts you had been given, it is tantamount to committing sin." The two messages are congruent, and at its core, the message ties into self-love, acceptance of self, self-worth confidence and self-esteem. As a guitar player I am really starting to like and learn from this guy, it's a shame I never listened to him speak years ago. Playing from the heart is so important. You may have those around you who don't like your music. As prince said all music can be inspiring. However not everyone will be inspired by the same song. If you play from the heart you keep true to yourself. Others who enjoy the music can really feel it that way

As a guitar player I am really starting to like and learn from this guy, it's a shame I never listened to him speak years ago. Playing from the heart is so important. You may have those around you who don't like your music. As prince said all music can be inspiring. However not everyone will be inspired by the same song. If you play from the heart you keep true to yourself. Others who enjoy the music can really feel it that way
