I agree, hearing that music was kinda surreal. Although it took me several tries to beat it, I've found the Dirty Chalk Eraser item to be quite helpful in avoiding Baldi, so consider collecting as much as those as needed. I've also found playing the game with headphones helps a lot with awareness of your surroundings, but I assume you may already use that for gaming.

I was trying to avoid looking at the Arts and Crafters character who would otherwise teleport me and Baldi to the front of a random elevator. If this did happen, I probably would've lost.
