For reference on PS5 controller I do (X --- triangle X triangle) --- means it does not need to right away X picks up Triangle swaps weapons making you drop the shell I think you can just do X for all the steps but I'm not sure it's fast enough to work if you do.
This should just be a basegame mechanic at this point; SEAF turrets do not have substantial impact to warrant setting up. The only reason I ever even do them is so that I get 100% rewards. It would be much cooler if you loaded them, and then they randomly fired 120mm/380mm barrages infinitely throughout the match (with a decent cooldown). As I see them now, they are the objective equivalent of a participation trophy (i.e. a paperweight that is kind of okay for throwing at things until it breaks).
