I've watched several of his interviews with '80s bands, he is always respectful and makes certain to talk to all band members, not just the front man. Dick Clark was a treasure that I don't feel we appreciated enough.
Just saw them last night. Gotta admit the vocals don't sound the same (which is understandable considering their age), but they are still fantastic performers and their energy is amazing
I like that he made sure to ask a couple questions to all of the band members, not just the lead singer and the dude with a bare chest who gets all the girl screams in the audience.
Never realized it before, but these guys might be the best looking male rock band ever and this guy looks a heluva lot like John Taylor from Duran Duran > 0:30
I was lucky to have grown up in the 70s & 80s. Sorry to say, that apart from a precious few, music has been shit since the 90s. No wonder all of these bands are still around.
Dick is a nice guy, but he's being a little condescending here. Seems like he doesn't realize he's talking to one of the best bands in the world. And THE best 80s band, bar none, by miles.
Underrated band, so good in concert.
What makes you believe they're underrated? Did you travel the globe taking a survey from every citizen of the world? Please explain.
@@gogoyubari366 Yes I did the global survey. It was exhausting!
I love how the band members just seemed so shy and nervous.
Just like the Sex Pistols. Good boys really.
Mirror Moves kick started my love of good music in 1985.
Dick Clark was such a great ambassador of new music

@@drea4195 He was such a gentleman. And goodness, Richard was so adorable!
He asked the most banal questions.... insulting to the intelligence of the band members.
@@scott7521because perhaps he's just not on the same level of intelligence as the band members.
I believe Richard Butler is the genetic composition of Keith Richards and David Bowie I swear to God
More to the likings of Bowie & Johnny Rotten.
@@darrint3573 Bowie & Dylan imo.
"I totally see it!
Yep, you nailed it! Keef in mannerisms, Bowie more in looks.
Haha, great observation.
After 20 sum odd years I'm still loving you guys.
Richard Butler has the charisma of David Bowie..always thought that!
What a bunch of sweethearts! 💜💚
Love them!!!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Richard Butler’s so shy! Sweet.
STILL TOURING!!!! Gotta big show in Orlando next month at the Hard Rock!!!
Waa?

Dick Clark was a class guy. And the 1980's were awesome!

Their new album Made of Rain is superb!
i thought it was garbage
Seeing them on Oct 21 in Mass!!

Hi Kelli..
Yes it was a great show!!
Love the furs. They're so patient with this dim bulb.
I like that he made sure to ask a couple questions to all of the band members, not just the lead singer and the dude with a bare chest who gets all the girl screams in the audience.
Still strong today. Richard butler and the psychedelic furs. Cheers boys

Only a gay man would mention looks instead of talent, but the shirtless one has a cute smile He was Courtney Loves first f..k
And you mean John Taylor
@@jamesrippner672 I musta confused him with sherriff andy taylor from the tv show, ha haa haaa!
what happened to the performance of Heaven the preceded the interview?
ha ha Dick Clark is so "fatherly"
