    then the current Z flip Demo has a clear line on it.

    This is the best LOOKING folding phone I think we've seen yet. I know you don't like it but I personally would rather no hole punch at all for the large screen. The way the device is wedge shaped to fit better in the hand, the way the bezels are the same size all the way around the device (seriously why can't every phone do this???), it's just the most visually appealing folding phone. It's the first one that really is starting to look like it could be a consumer device, minus the price and google stuff of course.

    That phone is gorgeous, I hope the next Samsung fold takes that lopsided kindle oasis like design and makes the outer screen a more sensible ratio. If it wasn't for the lack of wireless charging and the lack of a google play store, I think this would be my next phone unless the next fold is significantly better.

      I've revisited the Duo every two weeks or so. In fact I tried moving back into it after the Fold2 went out for repair, but only managed to last half a day. IMO, it's still criminally undercooked, far too fragile, and it's not being updated at nearly the speed needed to make it competitive. But I'm glad you're enjoying yours!

      @@TheMrMobile thanks for the reply...appreciate it. I'm not sure you have stuck with it long enough - 'half a day'. It needs to be at least a week. It really isn't as undercooked as you say, yes there are things that can be improved but for a 1.0 it is very good. I have used it as a daily driver with and without the bumper and skins and it has held up VERY well. The screens are as good as ever, the battery life is still good, it has the cracked charger port thing, but don't even notice it. The software is very reliable with occasional glitches, but all in all it is brilliant. Just saying.

    The same thing happened to my z fold 2 I realized cracking down the middle... I have Samsung insurance so they replaced it for me free of charge. But the bad news is that they couldn't give me the mystic bronze color I initially bought. So I settled with the black one. Oh plus they didn't have any more unlocked variants. So I had to get the Sprint version...I really hope SAMSUNG address this issue with the z fold 3

    Huawei made sure that Google services can be side loaded onto the X2 so that really isn't a concern if you want one.
    I'm absolutely convinced as a Huawei folding phone user for almost a year that Huawei make THE best folding phone available on the planet.

      Lol shit take was shit. The Mate X/XS was fucking trash that scratched to hell if you looked at it funny and the plastic screen on this $2800 monstrosity felt like ass compared to proper uniform & solid feeling UTG displays from the competition. Huawei is and has been an also-ran for basically everything in smartphones for a long while now. 🤷 Oppo makes some good foldables, but Huawei makes junk.

    • @Cooe.
      @Cooe. 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@markedgerton4170Lol you done fucking goofed. 🤣 Even if you didn't want Samsung you should have waited for the Pixel Fold or OnePlus Open over that trash. Also, no, the Galaxy Fold's have been better phones than the Mate's at basically every juncture. The difference in software quality and capability is fucking STARK! Samsung's foldable specific software is still the best in the game although many would argue Oppo (OnePlus) has the better hardware.

    I do think that the foldable phones are the future, the design may not be polished and optimized right now, and the price may be too high. But as the technology advances and becomes more mainstream, it might just be the average smartphone standard. Can't wait to see how companies change and advanced the design in the future :D

    to be honest no camera in inside screen is good decision as at least we have one notch less screen for media consumption.

    Definitely noticed the same wear on my motorola razr 5G. When the screen is on it isn't really that bad but man once it's reflects outside in the sun it's all I can see. I like my razr but with this, the sad sad battery, and the paint chipping off the side (I have the gold version) I am probably not going toward another foldable phone for at least a couple more generations. But, this huawai phone does have me optimistic.

    I had EXACTLY THE SAME cracks just few days ago on my Galaxy Fold 2 as well. Returned it yesterday to Samsung and waiting to hear from them. I asked for a full refund OR Samsung Credits to purchase Fold 3. Those cracks happened overnight. I purchased the phone in November 2020 so the phone lasted barely 6 months.!!

    I had an identical issue with my fault to as you did when I went to Samsung and used the premier Service I was initially told the the cracks were caused by impact damage but after arguing that that doesn't make sense based on the way the cracks form they eventually repaired it for free but their service clearly was not premiere

    I hope the ZF3 edges arent as slippery as the ZF2, thats really my only complaint. I had to put a piece of anti-slip tape on the edge so its easier to open.
