Back Roads of Ohio Amish Country

A video I took of some of the back roads in the Holmes County area around the towns and villages of Berlin, Charm, Mt Hope and New Bedford, Ohio. The video was taken on a Sunday so there was very little traffic. Most of the shops and stores are closed on Sundays.

You've just made me very homesick! I grew up in Southern Indiana, which has the same kind of roads and farms, houses on the hill, and small towns (some smaller than these). Any of these roads could have come from where I grew up, and we used to wander up and down them just like this. You brought me back to when I was younger. I live in Chicago now, and I really miss the back roads and knowing who lives in which house, and ... Thanks for this video.

What’s with all the people walking where are the horses and buggys

Some Amish people walk to Church and back home because a lot of times Horse and buggies are not allowed on Church grounds.
