Fun fact, if you look for primary information about the ‘Spanish empire’, that is, written by them. The Spanish empire does not exist as such, they called themselves a Hispanic monarchy, this means that they did not have colonies like the English or the French. they created a multi-continental kingdom, this means that they built churches, palaces, institutions, schools and hospitals. Latin American countries still use these 500 year old buildings.
Catilla and aragon the original names of spain, they did a lot for the world although they are not recognized, they were not heroes, but they were not villains either, they were humans who in most cases did good in the name of humanity and god.

I'm sorry to disappoint you, but especially because we never had lyrics in our anthem.
@arceusrefachero5096, @trx90vito29 that is an epic version of "Purpura y Oro" it was composed for the 25th aniversary of Alfonso XIII's reign by. Eduardo Maquina in 1927. Though the Spanish anthem currently has no lyrics there's been many attempts to compose them, this one was once a candidate to become the official lyrics.
During the Second Republic Spain adopted Himno de Riego with a different music too
