@@Exploringfellow maintenance is not to bad, timing belt and water pump cost me about 700 dollars to do. That’s the most important part of the car. Other than that just do regular oil changes on time and it’s a good solid car.
recently installed the same set of coilovers for my '97 LS400. Make sure to get the car aligned immediately after you lower it. The toe was way off on mine. As for the rear dampers, I had the same issue as well. Had to readjust them once I lowered the car down to the ground. LOL
Eric Xiong Awesome! Yeah, this was from a couple months ago. I had to replace my lower control arm bushings (next video I’ll post) and then got it aligned. Toe was wayyyyy off
@@elementalcivik ….are you planning to upgrade the wheels/tires? If you are going for authentic JDM wheels, I would suggest looking at Croooober, com. I bought my set of Amistad Zelos from them. I'm sure you heard stories of people claiming they are a fake/scam website. They aren't. I paid for the wheels via Paypal on a Thursday. Wheels were sent out Monday, received them the following day via DHL. What I paid for the wheels is way cheaper than any set I found from Ebay or other sellers in the states. Plus, if you noticed, people are still trying to sell jacked up, curbed/damaged wheels for $1K+. I paid around $800 for mine, including the shipping. No scratches, no bends, no curb rash.....
Eric Xiong Won’t be for a bit (cash flow, ya know) but that is exactly the plan! I’ve gone “window shopping” on Croooober a couple times. Eventually I’ll get some wheels from them and really get the car sitting proper.
@@elementalcivik ...I know exactly what you mean. I was able to "splurge" a bit with wheels from the previous sale of another car prior to owning the Lexus. Since the wheels I have are 19x8 and 19x8.5, I had to get some wheel spacers to clear the front brake calipers. Went with H&R 25mm. They do cost more than those cheaper ones found on eBay but couldn't pass up on the better quality. If you do decide to get some wheels from Croooober, opt for DHL instead of FedEx/UPS. DHL has free delivery insurance and they will literally put your stuff where you want it instead of out front by the porch. Good luck man...
@@ericxiong6582 Looking forward to being able to splurge on this car in the future. The right wheels will definitely make a big difference for it. And thanks for the shipping tip! I'll keep that in mind when the time comes.
AlHitman 90 It’s been sitting at my family’s place for a couple months while I moved across town and sorted some things out. Honestly the white LS400 will just be getting sold once I have time to deal with it. Hopefully soon.
I have the exact same car, but stock my brother keeps begging me to do stuff like this to mine but I just like the stock look 😂😂😂. This does look good tho no cap.
aaronmit So far it’s just FIGS Engineering bushings and the Megan Racing coilovers. I’m planning to add Megan Racing camber arms and more bushings in the near future.
Hey man I installed mine everything right including center nut in the front but I’m wondering if u heard a hollow clunk sound in the front end when going slow
So is the ride really soft like you said? I was going to buy bc racing but to save 400 I'll go with these if the ride is comfortable....that's really what I want.
Edwin Vasquez In my opinion, it’s still a very comfortable ride. With the spacers I do get slight fender run over large bumps but without the spacers there was no rubbing at this height. The suspension is stiffer than stock but not a huge difference. The difference in body roll is substantial though. The car feels much more confident through cornering and braking. I was going back and forth between BC and Megan and Megan ultimately won due to the lower/softer spring rates. I have had a couple different people ride in the car who said if I didn’t tell them it was not stock suspension, they never would have known with how comfy it still is.
I ended up ordering the bcracing coilovers. Mainly because they are local, 20 min ride from me. I hope they ride just as good as the megan if not better.
TCN 400 Auto Film Solutions in Colorado Springs is where I got the tint done. Best place around for it in my opinion, only shop I have do glass and tint and film for me.
For the turn signal lenses, I did those myself. You can reach in through the bulb hole and use a punch and pliers to break all the orange plastic out. Then just use an orange bulb instead of clear.
The stock ones didn’t at that ride height, and my Serial 9 upper arms don’t hit where I have it now 3/4” lower. Just scrape my exhaust over every bump!
Bolting them on where they came set with no adjusting, I believe it was about 1-1.5 inches below stock ride height. But I could have raised them up a bit if I wanted. You could get them near stock ride height I believe
Miata Gang Garage Really well! They softened out just a hair but still ride really well. Still let me be confident in corners while having a very comfy ride while cruising. No issues at all so far!

In USA how much it will cost ls400 1999 ?
@@Exploringfellow really depends on the owner. I just sold mine 1998 Ls400 for 6500 .

For the turn signal lenses, I did those myself. You can reach in through the bulb hole and use a punch and pliers to break all the orange plastic out. Then just use an orange bulb instead of clear.
The side markers on the bumper itself were an eBay find. They’re actually listed for a GS.

Do you still have the interior for the Lexus sc400????
I don’t, sold it to a local guy a while back
