Anyways I just wanted to say I have been a long time fan, since around 2016 and finally wanted to say thank you for creating some great content, and for getting me into total war. You have to remember that Charles the V was Charles the First in Spain, as he ruled the empire from Spain and, when Felipe II, his son, succeeded him, Charles retired to San Jeronimo, in Caceres. So we shouldn't misrepresent Spanish power in general

It's kinda funny but the reason France allied itself with the Ottomans because the French King was at odds with the Hapsburg's and wasn't given Hungry or the Holy Roman Empire, can't remember which, as he "The French King" had a claim on it, followed by a temper tantrum and the kings MOM wrote the Sultan begging him to attack the Hapsburg's which gave him more then enough of a legitimate reason to attack/rape/pillage the Christian world! (SAD). Crazy how these so called elites cared so little for peoples lives as long as they got what they wanted. The Christian world at the time was shocked, apparently...... not sure why seeing as the pious nobility almost always crapped on there "Lessors".

If you have cannons or any type of artillery make more holes in the walls either at the start of the battle or after making the enemy commit to defend one or 2 fallen walls and then make another hole and flank em
Apollo! You should do a historic battle like The Battle of Actium. Or maybe you could do The Battle of Thermopylae. Both are really interesting and would make good battles on this channel just went and check and you’ve already done Thermopylae lol
Man, I'm glad I actually love Total War Warhammer 2. I get the hate from older total war gamers, but you just can't find another total war game as dynamic in open field battle as Warhammer 2. I get it's not as 'grand' as Medieval 2 or Shogun 2, but I still love it. I still say Medieval 2 has some of the best sieges, it's just laggy as hell. Rome 2 had good sieges and I've seen that Saga had good sieges apparently, just no one played it.
yeah the idea that "only old total war are good" is false, some of new are bad (Britannia) some are good (Warhammer, 3 kingdom), and we can say the same for the old total war

As I led the France in the battle, I will explain the simple tactic here I had going.... As my forces were massacrated on the walls I needed the ottomans to aid me, however still, I couldn't get the Genoans to abandon my wall, so I started throwing in units to keep them supressed and forced to defend the walls. As for how did it come to them sallying out, you can say I used Atilla AI for that.... Pikes in formation are slow, so I would push in mine out of formation and then pull them back, so that the enemy will slowly walk out wuth my cav ready to run them down. Really dynamic battle, gg to all ~Roman Legionary
