Have to wonder if Luck regrets not going into 2011 Draft. Would've gone to Carolina, better OL, RB, defense, went to Super Bowl. He could still be playing.
I remember that first matchup with Denver and Peyton Manning. It was an epic struggle and Indy got the win, but I remember Luck taking way too many hits. I think he was out for a few games after with a lacerated Kidney. That was only the beginning of his career. So Luck beat Manning, but Manning played every game that season and Luck didn't.
The Colts front office, cheapest in the NFL then and now, v refused to sign even an average front line to protect him. They, as always, shot themselves in the foot- or Luck’s shoulder.
I am Hooser. I just started getting into football. I knew about Andrew Luck and watched him play growing up but I never knew why he retired. I did research and discovered the tragedy that this man endured for the people who didn’t care about him. Anthony Richardson won’t be the same case because he doesn’t have the stress and expectations as much as Luck did. Plus I don’t think AR is willing to fight through injuries for the team. I don’t think Lucks story should ever be forgotten. This was the worst thing people can do to one man, trying to fight for a team. The fans booing at him for essentially saving himself from more heartbreak really makes me hate the fellow fans around me. However…. I think IF (not should have) he had decided to stay with the Colts he would’ve prospered. The O line was good and our O line now is pretty solid. He would’ve had incredible offensive weapons at his disposal. I think the words in this video ring true. Luck is the biggest “What if?” In NFL history
I played soccer for many years, my biggest regrets looking back, why did I play many games hurt when I didn’t have to. Now I can’t even walk hard. Taking care of yourself is your responsibility because, after the football years you are on your own and none of these people will be there to deal with your heath issues. Andrew luck studied at Stanford.
There's nothing tragic. The funny thing about QB is if you get the ball out quick enough, you can cut the hits to take in half. Luck held on to the ball way too long and never ever slid.
Luck did the right thing by retiring . He played football since he was a child . All that contact and hits takes a toll on a player . And being a qb all his life takes a toll on your arm . If he played longer he could have been seriously physically and neurologically damaged permanently, like for example Steelers 19 year center Mike Webster, RB Earl Campbell and others . Brett Favre went as far as telling kids don't play football if you like other sports , and for your life long recreation, and thinking ability, and for your family, friends and your own sakes
Yes Luck knew this too... LUCKS heart just wasn't into it.. He wanted to read books and develop property, and make money in business without getting hurt...
Not really tragic at all. He's a multi-millionaire and he left the game because he realized his health is priceless. Smart guy with a bright future whether that's in or out of football. No, not even close to a tragic story.
He’s worth about $200 million, has a masters degree from Stanford, has a wife and family, and left the game before life debilitating injuries; all before the age of 40. I’d be ok to live such a “tragic” life.
it's amazing these billionaires don't remember their lessons. Protect your assets. They were "Lucky" enough to draft, one of the best QB prospects ever and never invested in keeping him safe, with OL and blocking TE's.
A lot of people don't realize that Andrew Luck's combine numbers, although they weren't as good as RG3's, they were comparable to Cam Newton's who was drafted the year before!!!
as a former Colts fan that doesn’t follow football anymore this guy was the guy. i knew him, i watched him and grew up with him. i’ll always remember what he did for the Colts.
What's tragic about it. I just played college football and only can imagine the talent it takes for anyone to make it to the NFL. In the grand scheme of things he had nothing to worry about.
We had an extraordinary quarterback and didn’t wise up to protect him. Now AR has an injury about every game we play. It’s not looking great. We need to wise up
As a longtime Bronco fan, I was shocked to find out Russell Wilson threw 35 touchdown passes for them in 2018 (14:02). Traded away all those draft picks for him last year was even dumber than I thought.
People tend to forget football is a job for these players. A job that supports themselves and their families. If you got injured every time you worked, risk losing it all or becoming immobile, wouldn’t you want to leave as well?
We should've been talking about how great Andrew Luck's career was. How many Super Bowls he won on his way to the HoF... instead we are talking about how much the Colts organization failed him and took all that away from him. Truly a great tragedy.
I agree, but remember, TH-cam panders to idiots who either A. Have never had a bad thing happen to them Or B. Mommy and daddy can dumb it down for this sorry generation to understand without getting triggered.
Luck went to Stanford for a reason - intelligence. He was smart enough to see that wouldn't last long in the NFL if he stayed longer on a team with an offensive line that could never give him the protection he needed. He always had a mediocre offensive line and the punishment just wasn't worth it.
Tragic? No. He made his money then VOLUNTARILY left the game before damaging his brain or other bad injury. Good for him to be able to comfortably live the life he wants and do so in relative good health.
Sad because the colts didn’t build a good offensive line to protect him. I remember seeing him play and feeling bad cuz he kept getting hit so hard all the time. He was a good quarterback and I’m not even a colts fan but still sad they let the talent go to waste. 🤦🏽♂️👏🏽
In June 2016, Luck signed what was at the time the NFL’s richest contract in league history. Six years and $140 million with $87 million in guaranteed money. When Luck retired, the Colts could’ve asked for money back. Indianapolis decided not to recoup the $24.8 million they potentially could’ve received from Luck. One good thing the management did for screwing him over.
People seem to forget that when you're drafted first overall you're usually on the worst NFL team. It's a miracle what he did with the colts no offensive line having knuckleheads. People also seem to forget how many interceptions Peyton Manning through is rookie a year.

Not many pro athletes with his potential are brave enough to say "fuck this shit I'm out" in their prime, but I'm glad he was smart enough to do so and prioritized his health over fame. Also helps he wisely spent/invested the money he did make while playing.
I wouldn’t call it brave that’s for sure 😂 More like cowardly / robbery brings into question how much he wanted to win to begin with . Lol like really the man was a turnover machine . Don’t just look at his interceptions which are up there but fumbles
Love the Football Vids keep doing them 🔥🔥❤️❤️
The fans were trash for booing him off 😢 he was with the wrong team. Defenitely deserved better.
Outstanding editing. Great job!!!
Yo keep up the work dude you're really good
You deserve more views & subs! Keep up the great work
Might be the greatest what if in NFL history.
Luck really was a beast, i miss seeing him out there. No shame in cashing in your chips while you're still ahead. He is a smart man and i wish him the best.
He was getting to be one of my favorite qbs to watch as well… sad to see it happen to him.
Have to wonder if Luck regrets not going into 2011 Draft. Would've gone to Carolina, better OL, RB, defense, went to Super Bowl. He could still be playing.
This is a gonna be a great channel!
I'm not a Colt fan but I've never been able to figure the front office not protecting him. Such a waste of a great talent. Good luck Andrew.
That wasnt first matchup we played them in 2013
The Colts front office, cheapest in the NFL then and now, v refused to sign even an average front line to protect him.
Solid content! I subbed.
Imagine Andrew luck with the browns o line
Heck he might still be in the league
Do you mean it’s bad or good cuz it’s good
@@camdensports3553 if he had the browns O-line, he might be a super bowl champion by now
Luck did the right thing by retiring .
Webster and Campbell weren't qbs, and therefore no one cares about their health
I hope Luck is able to enjoy his life beyond football. What an incredible young man.
The worst part was is that the year he retired was when the Colts actually managed to put a good team together, and FINALLY invest in a decent O-line
Yes Luck knew this too... LUCKS heart just wasn't into it..
He wanted to read books and develop property, and make money in business without getting hurt...
TOO LITTLE TOO FKING LATE
Not really tragic at all. He's a multi-millionaire and he left the game because he realized his health is priceless. Smart guy with a bright future whether that's in or out of football. No, not even close to a tragic story.
Andrew luck was a very good quarterback it's terrible that he injured!!!!
Who here came from Nonstop and is ready for the best NFL channel
Me
Great, great channel! Surprising your sub rate is so low. Liked and subbed
I wish I had a TRAGIC Story like Andrew Luck's.
I grew up in Houston and went to Stratford high school. Craig James also went to Stratford. They were kick ass high school football players for sure.
i was just thinking the other day how funny and wholesome Luck was during his career. His mic'd up moments are hilarious
He’s worth about $200 million, has a masters degree from Stanford, has a wife and family, and left the game before life debilitating injuries; all before the age of 40. I’d be ok to live such a “tragic” life.
To this day, I remember how the colts fans booed him instead of Irsay and his incompetent front office. They deserved mediocity from then on.
it's amazing these billionaires don't remember their lessons.
As a long time colts fan, I miss Luck so much 😥 I wish we would have gotten him the protection he needed earlier
Never got to fulfill his potential as a QB, but he's a success as a human being.
as a former Colts fan that doesn’t follow football anymore this guy was the guy. i knew him, i watched him and grew up with him. i’ll always remember what he did for the Colts.
Any one better than Andrew Luck? God bless u talent!!
What's tragic about it. I just played college football and only can imagine the talent it takes for anyone to make it to the NFL. In the grand scheme of things he had nothing to worry about.
Bro you guys should upload on nonstop mma pls😢😢
A lesson for the league for sure.
Ill never forget OKST win against Stanford in Lucks last collegiate game.
Colts fan and an Andrew Luck fan. Loved Andrew luck the person as much as Andrew Luck the player
In 2023, Luck began serving as a part-time volunteer coach at nearby Palo Alto High School, working with the school's junior varsity team.
Reminds me of Barry Sanders. Very little help and he played 100% every game .
People tend to forget football is a job for these players. A job that supports themselves and their families. If you got injured every time you worked, risk losing it all or becoming immobile, wouldn’t you want to leave as well?
And Washington Commanders are still trying to get this man to come out of Retirement since the departure of Carson Wentz 🙄
I remember him torching Tyrod Taylor and Vriginia Tech in the Orange bowl.. What a great player drafted to the wrong team.
We should've been talking about how great Andrew Luck's career was. How many Super Bowls he won on his way to the HoF... instead we are talking about how much the Colts organization failed him and took all that away from him.
Truly a great tragedy.
A kid dying of cancer is a tragic story Andrew Luck is living a great life.
I agree, but remember, TH-cam panders to idiots who either
A. Have never had a bad thing happen to them
Or
B. Mommy and daddy can dumb it down for this sorry generation to understand without getting triggered.
He really was the greatest QB prospect. It's really unfortunate
Russell Wilson was still playing for Seattle in 2018, dude
Man, Luck had the most unfortunate and fortunate name, EVER.
Luck was a beast. He definitely would've won a super bowl 🏈
God has Blessed him
always gets me how teams worry about ball handlers… and when they get in cap trouble… the lineman.. (lowest paid guys on offense) are they guys they cut…
