- Heavy Rain Today Central Bangkok at the END of the Rainy Season. Walking in Rain and Thunder around Nana BTS and Sukhumvit Road. Several streets where flooded.
The Monsoon in Bangkok should be finished by the end of October. Hopefully we watched the last heavy rain of this Monsoon Season.

I was stuck in this rain. Had to remove my shoes and switch to floaters. Lucky I had a spare one. The rain was CRAZY.

That was the exact window i was in Bangkok and Pattaya last year from 25th Jan to 11th February and weather was very hot and dry. Most likely will be same next year as well.

Thank you, I have walked those same streets many times but without the rain. I have been there before Hooters showed up. Lots of good budget hotels in those areas plus the number one hospital in Thailand.
It's quite incredible how Bangkok continues to function regardless of heavy rain when some other major cities around the world come to a halt in these conditions. This Thai steadfastness impresses and fascinates me.

I usually visit Thailnd/BKK in Jan/Feb...one year visited Bali which was better in Aug/Sept...as BKK is my base had no problems with the rain with there..was kind of cool!

Isolated showers. We were in northern Bangkok on this day and it never even rained.
Seen it happen many times. When you look down the BTS Line you can see it rain in the distance while you stay dry where you are.
Ill be there in three weeks, dont mind a bit of rain but hoping all these big storms will have mostly passed!! 🤞

Regarding October was a dry season was already considering back date information because due to climate change, new update for October 2024 there now still consider as wet season. Maybe hope from next month it can consider the start of dry season there.
Surprised the Chao Phraya hasn't flooded parts of Bangkok yet like you reported a few years ago? Maybe it's lucky the tides were low here?
