As a memphis fan, I can tell you that back up QBs coming in the game have done phenomenal against us. We have made backup quarterbacks look amazing. I would start dj, and if he's falters then stick the back up in amd watch him look like Dan Marino. I'm not sure why backups do so well against us.

You let DJ watch from the sideline first part of the game . If Brock is so - so then you put DJ in. This is just my opinion but I don’t think it’s necessarily that other fans think that’s he’s that good..speaking for myself I feel like this season is nothing more or should be just an extended camp in preparation for the 2025 season. I don’t like saying it and didn’t come up with it but it’s 100% factual..DJU is just a “rental” is gone after this season and is in no way shape or form bigger than the program and certainly not above or too good to be benched. With that being said I understand that he was recruited through the portal to come here by the staff he just didn’t show up on the doorstep but I still have a very hard time understanding why he was the hard number 2 option behind Cam Ward? Maybe no other Qb honestly had any interest in us or whatever but I feel that was the one position in the portal that had several decent options and we settled for the guy that knew he wasn’t the top priority and waited to commit at anytime because let’s be honest nobody else was knocking his door down to get to him and that speaks volumes to me. Without totally picking on him though cause that’s far from the only issue I think we’ve seen first hand that while the portal is necessary it doesn’t provide sustained success when most transfers only provide immediate success while talented underclassmen mainly high school recruits aren’t achieving upward mobility due to constantly being stagnant on the depth chart. I know this is long winded but stay with me.. it has caused concern with recruits even this year as voiced by LB Gavin Nix who is committed to Miami currently. Snub hangover is an excuse being tossed around and my thought is get a team therapist and gtf over it..with the 12 team playoff alone that has all but eliminated that possibility again so that tells me there is a glaring issue with coaching. With as many transfers at starting positions that didn’t experience that, it holds absolutely no weight. While most couldn’t recruit I always hung my hat on the way they were able to develop well that’s in question now as well. I think even mention of fire Mike is extremely premature but his response and actions made not only for this season but the off season are going to be absolutely make or break. To the original point let the future have it because everything short of a miracle this at the very best just can be a winning season. Show recruits there is some bright spots and reason for optimism and if for nothing else just to feed the ones that are hungry. If Brock can’t hack it then throw Luke in the fire early..what do we honestly have to lose at this point??

Norvell will start DJ again. Either out of misplaced loyalty, or because they're both "nice guys" or because DJ has some dirt on Mike. Either way I don't care anymore. We're going 0-12. We just lost 2 key recruits. We literally just found a way to lose a bye week. The dark days are here for a while.
DJU is terrible! underthrows and overthrows, no leadership, there's reason Dabo(Clemson) got rid of him! Our O Line is terrible, no running game, Please bench Morlock(Can he catch a pass?).

If you haven’t seen the X and Noles breakdown of our defensive issues yet, it’s worth a watch. There is really bad communication on D, which seems to be a coaching issue at minimum. BC ran the same play over and over again and Fuller never adjusted.
I like Brock but I truly believe Luke is the answer

Let's go with Luke, Brock looked horrible towards the end of last season replacing J. Travis after the injury. But I'd still rather Brock than DJU at this point..
Horrible??? You seem to forget Rodemaker was supposed to be starting the ACC championship game, he quit on us. I heard he was cleared to play but pussed out. There was no game plan for Brock for that game, again coaching f'up. The Georgia game, half his friggin team QUIT on him.

And you're trying to tell that Rodemaker wimping out, the coaches f**king up and the team quitting on him vs Georgia was the reason for his bad play from the moment he first stepped in?? Sorry but i believe that if you can play then you can play and you'll show signs of that when given the opportunity. I didn't see anything from Brock but as I stated, at this point, put him in over DJU!
If you start Brock you are basically waving the white flag on this season because if Brock was as good as most fans think he is The coaching staff would never have bought in DJ in the first place

This is just my opinion but I don’t think it’s necessarily that other fans think that’s he’s that good..speaking for myself I feel like this season is nothing more or should be just an extended camp in preparation for the 2025 season. I don’t like saying it and didn’t come up with it but it’s 100% factual..DJU is just a “rental” is gone after this season and is in no way shape or form bigger than the program and certainly not above or too good to be benched. With that being said I understand that he was recruited through the portal to come here by the staff he just didn’t show up on the doorstep but I still have a very hard time understanding why he was the hard number 2 option behind Cam Ward? Maybe no other Qb honestly had any interest in us or whatever but I feel that was the one position in the portal that had several decent options and we settled for the guy that knew he wasn’t the top priority and waited to commit at anytime because let’s be honest nobody else was knocking his door down to get to him and that speaks volumes to me. Without totally picking on him though cause that’s far from the only issue I think we’ve seen first hand that while the portal is necessary it doesn’t provide sustained success when most transfers only provide immediate success while talented underclassmen mainly high school recruits aren’t achieving upward mobility due to constantly being stagnant on the depth chart. I know this is long winded but stay with me.. it has caused concern with recruits even this year as voiced by LB Gavin Nix who is committed to Miami currently. Snub hangover is an excuse being tossed around and my thought is get a team therapist and gtf over it..with the 12 team playoff alone that has all but eliminated that possibility again so that tells me there is a glaring issue with coaching. With as many transfers at starting positions that didn’t experience that, it holds absolutely no weight. While most couldn’t recruit I always hung my hat on the way they were able to develop well that’s in question now as well. I think even mention of fire Mike is extremely premature but his response and actions made not only for this season but the off season are going to be absolutely make or break. To the original point let the future have it because everything short of a miracle this at the very best just can be a winning season. Show recruits there is some bright spots and reason for optimism and if for nothing else just to feed the ones that are hungry. If Brock can’t hack it then throw Luke in the fire early..what do we honestly have to lose at this point??
Hearing that there is a significant gap between DJU and Brock hurts more than the 0-2 start. Might be a long few years.

The game at home against BC was the second game of the season and they looked worse than the first game away.
@nowayjose1313 with a defeated mind you can't change nothing. 2nd change defense scheme LB weak so use nickel or dime or 5 lineman packages. 3rd before benching QB try starting 9 at RB rotate with 13 pass out of run formation and run out of pass formation and stop the RPO our QB is no runner

@nowayjose1313 understand we have alot of 1st time starters on defense our scheme is not working so just simply the scheme so players not have to communicate or think just play. Offensive same problem same solution. Just make it easier for your players to play fast and not have to think. Besides next game is non conference we only have to the rest of the conference games
