    Very interesting. All I would note is that constantly dipping fingers in grease may eventually lead to skin barrier deterioration, especially when cleaning the hands. Always better to employ a device (brush) or barrier (glove) to avoid future problems.

    EXCELLENT INFORMATIVE VIDEO.. AT 9:40 THERE IS NO GREESING AT THE BASE OF SPRING SEAT ? WHY?

    Interesting video. I'd never heard "split pin" as in the US they are called "Cotter pins". The UK term is certainly more descriptive.

      In the UK a cotter pin is also one of those smooth asymetric friction fit parts that is sometimes used to secure old bicycle pedals, which confusingly can also be secured by a split pin!

    Howdy and great vid, I know this was informational, but NEVER reuse split pins twice.

    Is it not necessary to lock all white and black guide roller pin’s securing nuts with split pin or other way?

    How importance are given to safety by German Engineers. I drive Audi Cars, it is over Engineered, You can feel how they like their citizens, Not only the profit but quality and pleasure in their product than other countries.

    How much does a grip weight?

    • @EmperorAst
      @EmperorAst 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would guess it's cast aluminum so it should weigh up to 50-60 kg when assembled.

    Large Hydraulic press pressing down the release wheel for the clamp with those massive springs in your face, looks as dangerous as changing your own car struts with the widow maker clamps.

      +Leitner ropeways I am doing a school project for Chair lift grips. Is there any data that you can give to the public? At a minimum can I have the spring coefficient of the springs used in the video?
      Thank you
