Remember: you don't necessarily have to spend years of hard work to see financial success. Just good gameplay and good marketing. "Iron lung" was made in a relatively short time and currently sits at 150k copies sold ($740k), because it's author had a following to give it initial visibility and the horror community liked it.
Successful indie game developers: Has years of working as a professional in the industry before making a breakthrough as an indie My dumb and ambitious ass: "I'll do it in a few weeks as a beginner", "My first game will be my biggest", "How do I code to move my character?"
You're not just developing a game, you are selling it too! that means learning how to grab a strangers attention and show them the most exciting aspects of it, educating them why they will like it and why they need it, immediately. You can easily read or listen to audiobooks on marketing, sales, and storytelling. One simple sentence could increase your results by 100x or more. The book "made to stick" contains more usable knowledge on getting attention and being remembered than many other books combined. The world needs your game, so you need to succeed!
Wow! Amazing I wouldn't have imagined they made so much money!! You can also check out the game Sapiens made by one person, maybe he is not a millionaire but he made an entire world by himself. It would also be cool to see info of the other 99.9% of indie developers. How much they make and all of that 🙂
This video is nothing short of amazing! Your game design skills are truly awe-inspiring, and I found myself feeling so inspired by your work. After watching this, I decided to create my own game, and I've made a lot of money from it. I even made a video about it on my TH-cam channel. Thank you for being such a wonderful source of inspiration!
Now slash that game money sales by 30% from steam and another 40ish depending on the state you live in and you got.............. Damn I really hate taxes
can you show growtopia in another video, growtopia was developed by 2 developers in 2012, seth a. robinson and hamumu. but eventually in 2017 game sold for ubisoft but the price that they sold it for isnt available because of a contract.
