I love how the song reminded you of your own story with your wife and got to share it. That's the main value of her, her ability to create songs a lot of people can relate to.
my favorite thing about taylor is the way she can write songs about vulnerable experiences in her life. it's like we are reading her diary, relating and knowing we are not alone when times are hard. even if i can't relate to a song in the moment, i can flashback to a time in my life. her storytelling is what makes her stand out. the details where you can paint a picture in your head.
This is one of my favorite songs of hers 💜✨💜 She always had a gift of putting into words those abstract universal human experiences. Thanks for giving it a listen!
Wow, that was a powerful moment- great reaction. One of the things she mentioned in her early interviews was her dream to hear the crowds sing back her words. I can see why she fought back to re-record her music. It's moments like those that would be bittersweet to watch because she "lost" 13 years of masters, videos &pix/art to someone who wouldn't appreciate it.. Her pattern was to drop an album every 2 years & then tour. Earning a past record by making a new one would have kept her in a perpetual nightmare. Also, no guarantee- because she could get her music put on hold or shelved just to keep her music catalog hostage. Also with the uncertain future (personal & career wise) & her mom's health- that could have impacted her schedule & creativity. No daylight at the end of the tunnel.
I love this song so much. The version of Love Story that she does from this tour is my all time favorite. Thanks for adding in some more Taylor. I always love your reactions to her music.
Yep! There was a seismic activity equivalent to 2.3 magnitude on Richter scale during Eras tour in Seattle. I was there, it was absolutely insane and EPIC!! 🙌🏼
Great reaction! 1989 Tour was huge, but The Eras Tour is on another level, it includes 146 shows, all of them sold out, all of them at the huge arenas. Thousands of people who couldn't get the tickets gather around the stadiums every show and sing along with the stadium crowds. World leaders openly requested Swift to bring the Eras Tour to their countries, because it boosts economy. Taylor rules the music industry. She's on top of the world right now. I suggest you to react to 'Out of the Woods' from that concert in Sydney. One of her best.
This is my favourite song on 1989, and one of my favourites of all her songs, it’s just so beautiful. It’s the song I’ve been dreaming of dancing to at my wedding for years ❤❤
the Original version (Taylor's version) is top notch too & it's 'slow pop' & i think u'll love it.. I was there. At THAT concert. The best memory in my life. & like u, i thought she can never top this (that 'runaway' stage can spin 360° by the way & it did during shake it off performance with her + 15 dancers on it!!), but she DID top this (10x more) with Reputation Stadium Tour & then top the Reputation Tour 10x more with the Eras Tour (which is the very2 best concert i've ever been to).. & im pretty sure, however impossible we may think, she WILL top the Eras Tour 10x more in her next tour coz she's The Mastermind.. 😊😊💙💙💙💙💙
this is my favorite song from 1989 ❤ thank you for listening to it! i saw taylor live for the first time 10 days ago after being a fan for 11 years so i can finally confirm her concerts are crazy and AMAZING
omg, it just hit me that Taylor commands the stadium at her shows the way Freddie Mercury did! 🤯🫢🫢🫢 Think Live Aid. That is so incredibly rare. I saw her reputation stadium tour and it’s non-stop energy and love for us and her. It’s so amazing. 🫢🫢🫢
WOW...THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! I thought I had heard all of Taylor's songs...this one I missed somehow...I really am so happy to hear this!!!! ❤❤❤ ohhh congrats on the 20 years...
One of the largest crowd she has played for in the Era tour was 90,000sold out seats....and there have been 80.000 and 70,000+ as well in different countries...all huge sold out groups.
I was at Seattle for the quake. We’ve had the same outcome for football games. We are such a hot bed for earthquakes that we have Richter scales all around. Major events have been known to rattle that Richter haha. That stadium was SHAKING!
The best way to really gauge somebodys talent is to hear them live and its not even to see if they sound at least close to the same live as in the studio. That is important but it's not the most important part. The mark of a great artist and performer is if they can convey the lyrics and emotion and vibe in a way that goes beyond the studio recording and what you hear in the recorded version. And Taylor has that ability in spades. There are songs that have great melodies and lyrics that don't necessarily hit you emotionally as you hear them on a cd or on the radio...but the artist is able to add something live to the performance that makes you experience the song in a way that really connects to your heart and soul. THAT is the "IT Factor" that people talk about but never define. This song is a textbook example of that for me. I always loved this song, the melody is fantastic and the lyrics are great but the studio version never brought any emotion out of me like the CD versions of, say, begin again or white horse or all too well did. But the moment I heard her singing it live, it immediately took me back to my first love and that incredible feeling. Every lyric clicked in my mind and it was almost as if she was adding more context to the song just by performing the song, despite the fact she did not add any new lyrics. And it was both a heartwarming feeling but also a gutpunch at the same time. This word is incredibly overused but she is a TRUE superstar.
1989 is my fav era i love the concert videos , my fave is the New Romantics tour vid its so amazing i hope u do a reaction to it soon! 🤩 (its simply titled New Romantics on Taylors channel should be the first thing the pops up on search)
Something that would be fun would be if you did a whole concert but chopped it up into a playlist on youtube (with a full version on patreon, maybe)? The Reputation concert movie is amazing, and I would love your thoughts on it. This song is nice. I missed the 1989 Era, sadly (when it came out, I had just become disabled, and I was focused on managing my conditions. Barely listened to anything that year because I slept through it). My favorite album is Lover, personally. Any songs from that would be lovely. Or if you need a good cry, I can make a ‘T Swift songs that make me sob’ playlist. Not that they would necessarily make you break like they break me… Lovely reaction. Thanks for posting!
lol, if you think this is loud, wait till you go to your first stadium concert 😂 you can be deaf (like me) and high-fidelity earplugs will only be 90% enough to make the stadium speakers tolerable, the 10% was a bit above tolerable - but at least you’ll be able to hear Taylor (very) clearly and the crowd doesn’t overpower the mic. Earplugs are a MUST!! someone on Instagram, who had also went to the Eras Tour, said they didn’t hear much - they didn’t wear earplugs, because I asked about it and they said they _wished_ that they *did* wear earplugs at their show. bring earplugs AND your noise-canceling headphones just in case Edit: This is just my personal experience. I was in the 100s section at Sofi. Maybe it’s a little different in the nosebleeds section, or in different stadiums.
Hello, can you please react to her track timeless from speak now Taylor's Version. I am looking forward to seeing reactors who are married, and see their take on that song. It is beautifully written.

I love how the song reminded you of your own story with your wife and got to share it. That's the main value of her, her ability to create songs a lot of people can relate to.
Agreed! The genius of Taylor is her ability to write intricate stories with very specific details yet they are somehow universally relatable as well.

She also just broke AMC lol
To me that performance was like the epitome of what Taylor does if that makes any sense .
You will freak out when you listen to enchanted/wildest dreams. Some of her highest high notes on this concert.
I love love love this song.
Going to the eras tour in Pittsburgh was the greatest experience of my life. I can’t wait to go see the movie next month
I hear a hint of how nice her low tones would become

That's awesome, my wife saw her in Minneapolis this year and said it was amazing!
In my mind this song is the closest I've ever heard to "Arthur's Theme" in explaining that feeling.
This is my favorite song from 1989 since the album came out in 2014. Subscribed this channel already

I love the LIVE Aid concert, I watch clips of it almost yearly 😆
@@DestructiveMediaYT I love it too!! It was so amazing! 🥰
This is one of my daughters favorite songs. We were actually at the 1989 concert in Glendale AZ. It was an experience ❤
