I get it, if you are just gonna daily drive it, rep is gonna hold just fine, but if you really planning on racing it, just stick with a real wheel, you don’t need to worried about it, if you break your avid1 just 4 times it will be even more expensive than just buying a te37

Should of done an actual comparison of identical sizes. Would have been dope to see the actual weight savings, so people can justify the $ per LBS. If they are really serious about performance at least.
If you're going to daily a TE37 and do no track duty, what's the point?
Not saying the TE37 isn't an awesome wheel. But don't be the guy who spends a years worth of salary to get the most exclusive parts for your car, not because you want to increase the sale value, or you are going to benefit from the non monetary performance gains, but only to have bragging rights. Then your girl has a baby or you need to move or pay off the other debts you neglected for months in order to afford those wheels, so you end up parting out your car. Or worse you crash.
Live within your budget and mod with a purpose.
It sucks having TE37s, dissing on the little homie because he got rep wheels, or RPF1s which cost less, ony for him to call you out to a race, then dusts your ass because he multiplied some horses under the hood, for less than you bought them wheels. Now you mad because your girl giving him winks because you're no longer the alfa in her eyes, mostly because he had cash left over to take her out to eat, while you still making up excuses to your homies because you can't accept that a dude on reps dusted your ass and took ya lady friend home for some old fashioned prostate excretion extraction.
    Mod with a purpose!
Salvage title clapped put cars with mismatched dented panels sitting on brandnnew TE37s is like Tyrone Biggums with his chapped lips and his dirty hobo outfit walking around in some brand new red Octobers. Because he felt like stunting even though his belly button damn near reaching his spine.

Super light 😂 2lbs difference for a whole set that’s going to give give a sec difference in the 1/4 mile 🥱

its a bigger wheel as well, that affects the weight massively. a 17x8 rpf1 is 4 pounds lighter and thats not even a high end wheel. and 1 second difference in a 1/4 mile would be huge for just changing out wheels but obviously thats not gonna happen

they are two different sizes, when you compare the same size the difference is much bigger. a 17x8 rpf1 (same spec as the rep) is 4 pounds lighter and its not as high end

I'll stick with my reps, I can almost afford them.

True, imo real wheels are only worth it if you're tracking it regularly

@@tunaSalsa for daily driving I picked a set of Rotas up for $150 and spent another $450 on new tires. I can't get even get 2 "reals" for that much.

Hundreds of dollars more to shed 4 pounds off my car? No thanks. Might as well hit the gym instead.

unsprung mass matters. the heavier wheels are thepre work is wasted spinning them up or down as you accelerate or decelerate. for car guys with power steering direction changes arent as impacted, on bikes it is a huge deal on racetracks with switchbacks
