I have a 340PD that I also acquired around 2002. Back then I had a CCW permit which at that time was difficult to get in my State. I carried for a year or two, then the permit expired and for various reasons I didn't reup. The gun sat in the closet for 2+ decades until Bruen, then I got my permit again. I pocket carry in a Galco holster. I keep 38 Special +P ammo in it. I shot 357 Magnum once years ago and noped out after that. It is not particularly pleasant to shoot; the trigger pull is atrocious. It is so light I too forget I have it in my pocket. I don't think pocket carry is the ideal way all the time, but sometimes its the best under the circumstances. That particular Galco holster will not come up out of the pocket if you need to draw the gun, but on the other hand to get it out of your pocket you need to pull the gun out first, so it does require a bit of administrative handling. Anyway, I probably will look into a Glock 43X or the Sig 365, but for certain situations, this tiny super lightweight J Frame can't be beat.

Seems like you need to take a revolver class .And get more range time with that revolver.

    You're a 'Firearms Instructor ' ? OK , whatever

Judging by the results of his shooting, he's the one who needs a 'firearms instructor.' Just another example of a guy who bought all the tacticool gear and spent nearly nothing on training.

@@Eugeneden2010😂 …. I agree 💯. I’ve never received formal training on revolvers, rarely shoot them, and do not train others with them.

Thanks for the video and your opinion, The only question I have is, on the frame it states no rounds under 120 grain. Is that only for .357 rounds, does it included the .38 rounds too. I can't see it being the .38 rounds because they don't produce the same pressure on release of the round. Just my opinion. Either way I'm waiting on delievery and I am very excited to own one,. Thanks again and all the best.

Thank you for watching. Yes, the > 120 grain includes .38 …. on another note, I shot a 50 grain .357 (liberty defense). I had no issues, but I am a strong believer in following the manufacturer recommendations. Sometimes I just test the limits!

I called S&W , and the guy on the phone said
120 GR is only for .357 rounds, not .38s
So im just confused, to be honest.
Thanks for your reply and opinion
I'm still excited to get one.

Snubbies are the shiznet. Love the look of the j frame, but once you shoot an lcr there’s no going back imo. The trigger is worlds better than the smith j frame
