After I watched season one, I checked out all of Invincible from my library and binge-read it. Let me just say, no one is ready for what is coming. One of the best shows I've ever seen, and maybe the best comic I've ever read.
lmao, ikr? i didn't watch the series, but i read the comics within 3 days of reading at 3 sepparate sessions (2 small ones, 1 big one). i don't think i'll even stop to watch the series, because the comic was good enough for me, but damn you're right. if people thought S1 was brutal, they're yet to see stuff they aren't even half ready to, if the direction stays as good as they claim the season 1's to be.

Having been a fan of this comic for a long time. It lived up to its potential. Crazier yet, this was the slow but steady part of the story. The rest goes nuts! Can't wait to see more!
I am looking forward to the rest of series with INCREDIBLE EXCITEMENT and cautious optimism. Why because they could either deliver the full epic scale story of the entire comics run with some tweaks to make things flow better. OR have the series cut short subvert expectations to last jedi levels and force Omni Man to just be the final villain. With Mark being forced to kill his own father. Which would be totally fucked up. But most cartoons in the prior decade started strong and slowly degrade over time until it's lifeless shell of its former. With us left wondering why it ended up this way when we know exactly why. Just look to Steven Universe, Star vs the Forces of Evil, and Voltron Legendary Defender even Adventure Time to a certain degree for example.
seth rogen voicing allen is the smartest thing this series have done. Totally loves his character and personality even though he just show up for a few minutes
Everyone should read the comics. Just 144 issues. You can get the 3 big collections for about $25-50 each, I think. The story is great. Full disclosure, the first 6-10 issues are good, but they basically take the approach of the first episode of the series. It's pretty fun, but "the twist" at the end of episode 1 doesn't happen until the second story arc/volume. Issue #10 I think, so stick with it. The story does a lot of the setup of the characters and the world early on like the first episode does, but once they really get to the twist, things just go up a notch again and again for the rest of the series. I may even like Invincible better than Robert Kirkman's The Walking Dead comic. Kirkman is a writer and consultant on the show too, taking a more firm hand than he did after a while on TWD, and he's said that he's using the show as a way to tweak and rework some elements of the story that he would've changed in hindsight, so it's really cool to know that this series is almost as much of a direct product of the creator as the actual comic was, and so far, it's produced fantastic results. Honestly, it's probably my favorite new show of the last few years. I haven't been this excited for a new series since Castlevania debuted in 2017.
You missed the most important part of the last episode. It’s when Nolan asked Mark, “what will you have left after 500 years when everyone you love and care about will be dead, what will you have left?!” Mark replies, “you dad, I will have you”. Mark stopped Omni-Man not because of his superior strength or intelligence, he stopped him because he showed him with those words alone that Omni-Man had empathy. That’s when I realized that this show is truly special. It tackled a terrifying ethical concept, what do we do when the most powerful meant to protect us become the enemy? How do we stop them? In hind sight maybe that was Cecils gambit all along
