The 66.6 Mhz detail is crucial later, when McClane is driving a truck and needs to call the Warlock and he first addresses him by his real name getting no answer at all but then decides to call him Warlock and gets his help!
It’s also a complete fail in how CBs actually work. There are 40 defined channels on a CB, each spaced 10 kHz apart. CB doesn’t even operate on the 60 MHz band, it operates on 26.965 to 27.405 so even if he had a programmable multi-band radio where you could manually tune it to any range, he’d never be able to talk to him in the truck because normal trucker CBs have the pre-set channels with no way to manually tune. TL;DR: Great piece of fiction and important to the plot later, but also complete bullshit.
Kash Akinsade their dislike for each other happened after this movie, after working together in cop out. kevin borderline worshipped Bruce Willis before that, and Bruce actually called kevin up a while after this movie, and suggested they do a movie togethet
cbfierce I am aware of the ACTUAL history of the scene... I was making a joke, alluding to the IRL tension between the two, and creating an imaginary version of behind the scene, that Kev already hated Bruce.
When he asked him about Fett, he should have said he was more of a Windu fan, it works on two levels- his actor was in the previous Die Hard film and Windu killed Fett in AOTC.
I haven't watched this movie in a long time. I found out and became a fan of Kevin smith about 3 years ago and it never occurred to me that he played "warlock Command Center", even though that character stood out somewhat in the film lol. Imagine my surprise when i saw him when i rewatched the film recently XD
Same with 5 that was fucking dreadful and glad its all died ... hard now as it is silly. McClane would have nerve damage in his feet after walking running around on broken glass he would be walking in a weird way. Films are just rubbish now. First second okay good. Then it slowed down bit with 3 many years later that wasn't that good. Really did we need to know or care if he had a brother? 4th and 5th silly! Like jumping onto a plane then off it onto hard concrete without even any body damage? Sigh I rather watch a film that is more realistic not some half ass who thinks he's Superman?
Now as for the pg-13 that's for pussies that leave school at 3:15pm in the afternoon then go the cinema SIGH. I had to grow up and wait till I was 18 to see 18 rated films with fucking swearing! Now hollyCuntwood are like fucking Vampires they want children to see watered down violence.
Rance 808 ...except for the end of the car-into-helicopter scene where they replaced "I was out of bullets" with "thousands of people die in car crashes every year." So random.
After the absolute classic that the first 3 movies were and 12 years hiatus no way did i think this movie would be this good ...if i had to rate the series With A Vengeance will always be first with Die Hard in second then id probably put this one in 3rd though i love the hell out of the second movie too...and then the 5th and now last(with Bruce anyway but damn i hope hes ok and not in pain) would be last for me and the only one i don't love but i still really like it and was hoping for one more with Bruce but hes given me so many amazing movies to love .. he ain't got anything left to prove
Supposedly the director of this movie wanted the scene to focus around the game chair that Kevin Smith was sitting in & originally had him sitting in it without getting up, but that was changed to Bruce Willis complaining about it & a couple of other reason's
WAR [un] ock without UNIX fork or GRID (conceived as an Apple G6 "ring" or at least a bus network) becomes what he always was : a civil servant or nothing beyond anything more than a library messenger. ...
Lmao I can’t believe fox were such idiots to not know this scene was dope asf! Never saw the movie but I can’t thank Kevin Smith enough for writing this scene!
Funny that he think in the case of tech goes down that radio will still a thing, I pretty sure people life style will change to at least to the1800s style at least
Warlock : Oh yeah, you’re a big fan of „the Fett“ ? McLane : No, I‘m more of a „Star Wars“ guy (VERY BIG NON-NO) Warlock‘s alarm bells go off : Who is this guy anyway ? Ha ha ha (You Star Wars fans get it)
I think its because he is supposedly so good that he managed to keep himself off radar. Even Thomas knows him, aparently on a personal level, and even if their interaction was less than amicable, he seems to respect him.
But Warlock didn't have the code that Gabriel needed or wanted. Isn't that the reason ? Warlock knew the basics of the situation, but the kid knew the specific code. He was the one who wrote the code, so he was the only one who could reverse it
Lls its basement that killed me I always heard this movie was wack But now i had free time to watch This yr seen all others cept 2 n this Whats wrong with them again
most on here don't have CB radio , 0:450:51 so when your internet and fancy mobile phone is useless , then how are you going to communicate with then huh ?
My favourite part is "IT'S A COMMAND CENTRE!" He whole heartedly thinks it's a command center even though it's a basement. 😂
Is it not both? (I haven't seen the movie.)
My favourite also 😊
It is a command center.
Why wouldn't it be a command center?
-You a big fan of Fett?
-I've always been more of a Star Wars guy
This gets me every time 😂
Yeah, that was a pretty stupid response
Cracks me up
A filthy casual response
You're not invited and not wanted now fuck off!
Coincidentially, both franchises were distributed by 20th Century Fox.
anybody want some bruce willis chicken?
Everybody loves Bruce Willis!
Is that a Friends reference?
you got butterscotch cremp?
David fucking Addison!!
But Bruce hates the Die Hard fans.
Kevin Smith should have acted WAY more.
He’d be a great character actor.
of the few times he has acted and played small roles in stuff he did not make himself, he is very good.
He doesn't remember scripts that good
@@keytrononit3unfortunately he is now a Hollywood sell out that cries over trailers
Love this scene.. Kevin Smith amazing actor perfectly cast as the warlock
The 66.6 Mhz detail is crucial later, when McClane is driving a truck and needs to call the Warlock and he first addresses him by his real name getting no answer at all but then decides to call him Warlock and gets his help!

So this scene wasn't scripted... it was just Kevin getting angry at Bruce while cameras were rolling.
not true...It was scripted. Bruce Willis had Kevin re-write the scene.
cbfierce to be fair Kevin smith and Bruce Willis do hate each other in real life
Kash Akinsade their dislike for each other happened after this movie, after working together in cop out. kevin borderline worshipped Bruce Willis before that, and Bruce actually called kevin up a while after this movie, and suggested they do a movie togethet
cbfierce so this scene was foreshadowing what was to come
cbfierce I am aware of the ACTUAL history of the scene... I was making a joke, alluding to the IRL tension between the two, and creating an imaginary version of behind the scene, that Kev already hated Bruce.
Fun fact: Kevin Smith wrote this scene.
Sounds about right haha makes sense.
Michael Woodworth How do you have a checkpoint on your account. If you only have like 100 subscribers
I was so sure he did! He just HAD to have Star Wars in there somewhere.
Kevin Smith wrote a movie, wait at that time he wrote 7.
He did not. He makes up those stories he tells in his specials.
I wish Kev had told John how much he loved Die Hard. John loves the Die Hard fans.
Debonaire Nerd He probably did
And I wish these two fighting didn't make me wanna intervene!
That final shot is the best acting I've ever seen out of Kevin Smith. The perfect "oh, fuck" face.
I've always laughed how instantly serious he got
I know!!!!!!
When he asked him about Fett, he should have said he was more of a Windu fan, it works on two levels- his actor was in the previous Die Hard film and Windu killed Fett in AOTC.
Wrong Fett.
i like how they made movie about my life ....
5 generators?! that's a command center dude.
bro, show us pics of your command center!
Ben noneofyourbeeswax IT'S A BASEMENT.
The command center always looked cool to me.
"friends? what the?!...." this is the bit that gets me.
I haven't watched this movie in a long time. he's in daredevil too
Kevin also appeared in an episode of Veronica Mars as a convience store clerk giving Veronica advice.
"Hey dumptruck..." LOL
or 'hey jenny craig' (R cut)
He also says ham hock lol
I was hoping McClaine had said "hey, Lunchbox."
"command centre' ~ Bruce Willis, "It's a basement." ~ classic put-down @ around the 1:30 MARK
WHY DO YOU BRING A COP INTO MY COMMAND CENTRE!!!
Hahahaha command center it's a basement
@@davidm2321 It's a command centre
Just had free time to watch still yet for 2 Shit had me on the floor fr
Everyone: It's a bunker.
Trump: It's a command center.
Man, Silent Bob so hilarious😂🤣
This guy deserves his own movie xD
I just keep coming back for the "Am more of a Star Wars guy" part.
Been years and still laughing my ass off.🤣
1:05 “why’d you bring your dad here for?”🤣🤣🤣😭😭
1:30 his lips don't move at "It's a basement"
Hahaha Its a lip sync editing issue.
I was in 7th grade when I saw this movie and it was my intro to Kevin Smith. This past weekend I met him at a con.
At The End Why That Worlock Freddie Get Upset and Then Tells Mcclane to “You Calm Down That’s My House” and Mcclane Threat Him Why?
Amazing Video of Kevin Smith, Thx so much 4 Posting.....😝😝👻👻👽
This scene alone is better than the entire movie.
LOL......Dumptruck.......
Pretty sure he calls him Jenny Craig in a different version.
Bruce probably didn't realise the camera was rolling.
This movie would’ve done a lot better if they would’ve gotten rid of the pg13 rating just saying
Same with 5 that was fucking dreadful and glad its all died ... hard now as it is silly. @@andysummersthxcinemaandmyc7748 Oh you poor thing!
Kevin Smith was great in this
Now we need "Warlock" relocate his "command center" next to the Quick Stop to annoy Randall and Dante.
Footage of Kevin Smith writing the whole scene.
it's silent bob
"why man hey hey"
who came here after the news of the Fett movie to be directed by the Logan/Copland dude? (*raises hand*)
well shit that didnt happen huh (now Mandelarion and Book of Fett)

Nice poster !
Welcome to nerdvana! Even for a computer geek who still lives with his mom, the guy has got some really cool stuff.
Thats scary when someone that is already invited in. And then they say Im gonna beat sh*t outta you 🤣
Never invite McClane again. That's what this taught me.
"... rocking 5 generators just so I can stay online. ....What?
Everyone has a friend like this you don't see them for year's
You cut out the best bit. The mom said Freddie you got company
0:29 gears of war 1
I needed out when I saw that, the lancer is my lightsaber
Silent bob ain't so silent
Looked like Kevin Smith was really into this
Lmao I can’t believe fox were such idiots to not know this scene was dope asf! Never saw the movie but I can’t thank Kevin Smith enough for writing this scene!
Now, Justin Long had recently appeared in Jay and Silent Bob Reboot, with Smith reprising his role as Silent Bob.
Brilliant scene 😂
Why did you bring a cop into my command center ?
Command center? It's a basement
It's a command center
0:45 I never noticed the Chekhov's Gun foreshadowing here before.
When John threatened Freddie 1:52 he changed his tone and attitude real quick
True lol
Hmm, that thumbnail, he just came...
1:32 "Don't help him 🤣" Yeh because he is fueling the fire 😆
You a big fan of the Fett?
zweiosterei no I've always been more of a star wars guy
Proves how he doesn't know the Star Wars franchise very well.
star wars uni must not b a fan of the fett....no show in solo...lol
Classic line lmao
A “Star Wars guy” WHO IS THIS MAN?
Boba Fett and Timothy Olyphant in the same movie
Dump truck I'm not his dad I'm a cop 🤣
What'd you bring your dad here for?! 😂
1:11 Okay, I have to admit that this did make me chuckle. But a funnier joke would have been for John to say that he's more of a fan of Pulp Fiction.
Funny that he think in the case of tech goes down that radio will still a thing, I pretty sure people life style will change to at least to the1800s style at least
Kevin smith is part of the die hard universe !!
the command center is where Zordon and Alpha 5 are on Power Rangers

He's a casual fan that doesn't look up lore and the names of side characters, lol
Who else is here after watching Kevin Smith tell the behind the scene story
anyone else notice gears in the background
Yep, there is also a scene before this with a guy playing it right before his roommate turns his PC on and blows the house up
"Hahahe commands center it a basement" 🤣🤣🤣
Bad gas in a money truck? Albert Witter air field?
Kevin Smith should've been the C.L.I.T. commander

"I'm rockin 5 generators just to stay online" ... jeez
Ohhh Ohhhh, a cop in his house 🤣🐺🤣
Oh, a STAR WARS guy..?!?!
And didn't know Kevin Smith was a LOL player.
I dunno why they say dh4 is a bad movie, comes second in place IMHO
Bit of a plothole - why didn't the feds or the baddies go after Warlock? He's obviously a lot more valuable than Farrell
I think its because he is supposedly so good that he managed to keep himself off radar. Even Thomas knows him, aparently on a personal level, and even if their interaction was less than amicable, he seems to respect him.
