    It is a great work ! Once again a total salon friendly technique ! James doesn't give you secret techniques on reverse balayage ! He shows us how to do it, and then we just put our personal touch on it ! I totally agree that saturation is a key on colouring or bleaching hair. If we want to have satisfying results. we don't need to be like Scrooge ! James points that out in all of his videos ! Well done !

    The technique is on point as always, but it’s the commentary and behind the chair insight that I so appreciate. It’s real and I’m always nodding along as you say it. And those who aren’t on LOH Patreon, get there! You won’t regret it!

    Oh my sooo beautiful! I'm one of those clients who was born with jet black coarse hair that turned blonde then dirty blonde. Great work AGAIN!!! How would this shades EQ differ from using a permanent color with 10 volume? Since shades is a temporary color how will this color look within a month? Thanks for your wonderful videos I love them❤️

    • @TheLifeOfHair
      @TheLifeOfHair  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      So shady cute isn’t a temporary colour it’s a dummy permanent which is halfway between a semi and a permanent so the long Jevity isn’t as long as permanent tent but this isn’t a bad thing as quite often people want to change their colours a lot more these days and have tonal changes as well So for me using a permanent just limits what we can do in the future hence why I like Shades EQ 👍🏻

    Excellent technique. I would remind all colorists to slow down and think 🤔 carefully when performing your initial analysis. If you are not familiar with the client’s hair history, test strands are a must! No one likes unpleasant surprises-clients will be grateful and trust you forever in the future. They also will never leave you for another colorist! This type of correction requires your highest skill and attention; allow yourself plenty of time and make sure the client understands this is as well. Under promise and over deliver. Having said all of that, be sure to charge a fee that is representative of your skill and time!

    Hi
    I have a question about going from blond to dark for example from level 10 to level 6
    Do I need to do pre pigmentation then the colour
    Also I’m using wella which colour do you suggest (level6)

    • @TheLifeOfHair
      @TheLifeOfHair  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi thank you for your question so if you’re going to go from level 10 to level six you will need to pre-pig/precolour you will need a level seven with either a beige gold or copper time depending on the end result you would like to achieve
      Beige will give you a cool end result,
      gold time will give you a neutral result
      copper will give you a warm result
      Hope that helps
