    I play Kemane/Kamancha professionally. It is very nice that you share your information about instrument, not really a well-known instrument, your interest surprised me! keep going. 💪 All the best, Melisa.

    Hi there! I am also learning Kamncheh! I was having the same trouble crossing strings as I am semi experienced in Viola and Violin. I actually switch to Viola strings and tuning on my Kamncheh. I am using Pirastro Prazision C, G, AND D with an A Evah Pirazzi Gold. I am using Pirastro Oilve with Vienna's best.

    Never heard a kamancheh before. It has a kind of wild, outdoorsy sound.

    How come you decided to play this instrument? Your name sounds Persian to me! I am also a Persian slowly learning to play this instrument after playing the modern and then the baroque violin.

    kydex used for holsters, can make gun, knife ,gps, water bottle holders for hiking, but for you , will hold your Kamencheh steady! easy! compelling tone, less hard on the shoulder! Yes!

    Awesome!!! I always wondered how to stabilise the instrument while applying pressure. Because you see them playing grace notes and slides and turning the instrument to adjust for the strings etc ... amazing ^^

    Idea for you- create quikie base plate contoured to your leg with kydex , inexpensive plastic heat formed , heat in toaster oven 40 sec till soft form it on your leg hold till cool .sandpaper or felt contact cemented on bottom to hold it stable . on top you could contact cement wood block with half sphere recess or with closed cell foam for a little rotational resistance- the kamenche will stat still! who do you reccomend for maker and is shipping difficult? i want to buy one SOON ! please help! your baseplate will never let Kamenche slip off again!

    Hi. Do you have a tuning video? I do not think I am in tune and the little wooden pieces floats around and one of the strings slips off. Once that is done, I will ask about how to get a sound out with this flaccid bow.

    hi Azar, thanks for your tuorials. I have a question for you, violin strings are compatible with Kamancheh. i broke the smaller string, but instead of buying a spare set in turkey can i replace it with the smaller violin string?

    What is the correct way to tune the kamancheh? Yours is EAEA? Why not AGDE? or what? Thanks for the lesson please continue, I just started as well... ) But please show more close your left hand.

    • @amyweil8331
      @amyweil8331 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Alex! I have tuned mine as a violin wtih GDAE but usually try the EAEA cause it sounds best on my specific instrument :-)

    It's a Turkish kemanche that you got.so nice to see you practicing kemanche.a tip for you:try not to turn your left hand while turning the instrument it destroys your holding position,instead for turning in a good position just do a little shock with your left thumb then let it go and then quickly grab it again in just position,and do this practice in both direction and so quickly.it will change your style,be sure.good luck with your pretty journey

    This kamanche doesn't look very standard or it is not persian just the sam as violin

    • @melisayildirimkamancha
      @melisayildirimkamancha 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It looks like the Anatolian version, definitely not Iran. But it doesn't matter, it all depends on your technique and skill. An instrument enough for you to play any traditional music you want.

    Hi dear, your Persian subject is wrong, the word "beginning" in Persian is "شروع"... sorry but "شروح" is wrong
    Wish you the best 😇

    Keep up the good work! Regarding the instrument almost falling off: in Uzbek culture there's a nearly identical instrument called Gijjak. One difference is that it has a leg support to keep it stable. Video for reference: th-cam.com/video/6S8tbzw-J-Q/w-d-xo.html .
    It must be noted that the player in the video doesn't turn the instrument (I don't know how it works, I'm a guitar player haha) but perhaps a similar support can be used along with turning-style of playing for Kamancheh.
