Music is the food of the soul .The alphabets of music is not written a in any dictionary ,but the feeling goes to your soul and even if you are from another continent you can get the message .Good jib MR.Master Kalhoor .Majid from Tehran living in California .
What he says at 3:12 (what his wife said, anyway) is so absolutely the truth, and is kind of the crux of what was a huge revelation to me when I visited the museum about a month ago. As I went through the music and instruments of each country, I realized there is more that binds us than divides us. We all love our kids, we all need food to eat, and we all make the same faces when we're really into a song we're performing. Music is important to us, and we all feel some kind of connection to it, no matter how subtle. The thought of that "sameness" brought me to the brink of tears on a couple of occasions, and Kayhan's video really stuck in my head, seeing him play with such skill and feeling and playing music that is his heritage. Growing up in a church home, I was always told that Jesus or God or whatever is what was going to bring people of the world together, but I always wondered how, since in order for religion to be "right," someone had to be "wrong." With music, nobody has to be wrong, and I'm now convinced that music is really the thing that will bring us all together.
Thank you for uploading this great video. Thank you to the Master Kayhan Kalhor on briefing about Kamanch and first time i hearing him speaking english 😄 that's awesome.!!!! We need more of Master Kalhor's videos. With respect from California .

Violin is also a Persian instrument !!! There are drawings of it going back 850 years ago ....it used to be played just like Kamanche ! The italians took it and made some modifications to it and played it under the chin....none the less it's wonderful !
No my friend. The instrument was played for many centuries by all grand masters in sitting on floor plus it is oriental Persian instrument and that is the flavor of the culture.
@@monsterlove2323 i don't think chairs belong to the 21st century. I know it might sound weird to you but chairs are not the inventions of 21st century. We always had chairs or at least for many centuries. haha. sitting on chairs is just another social construct. it not necessarily a better or smarter choice. It's just one option that many people in west in modern days choose to sit on. it might be easier for them to sit on chairs because they just never learned how to sit on floor. :) just think about it and maybe read. I am sure you will find your answer.
This man is an absolute Master. Listen to his concerts and you'll be blown away.
This instrument is from Heaven there is nothing like it.
Dear Kalhor, you are a real master in music 🎼

Wouldn't it be easier to use a chair? It is, after all, the 21st century.
