Thank you for this amazing video! I live in Rome, I’m singing with a small persian Chopra. I really like the sounds of kamanchech, especially that of Mohammadhi Brothers.
Bah bah that was beautiful to watch! If I had to choose 3 favourites, in 1st place it would be Karbalaee's because it has that perfect traditional tone. In 2nd place I would choose the Australian one because every single note has clarity to it and the bass notes are heart melting, almost like a cello. Not that traditional obviously, but still very pleasing to listen to. In 3rd place I would choose your 30 year old buddy :) Which one is your favourite Kourosh? By the way you spoke it appeared to me that Maestro Ebrahim's is your favourite.
It seems like it would be just a little bit easier for a cellist than (me) a violinist. We both have an understanding of the strings, but the left position is closer to a cello (minus the thumb position :-) ). As for bow hold - very close to a German double bass bow hold. Very interesting!!
Greetings from the Sonoran Desert. The sound just pulls you in then releases back out, filling everything with ears - stop and listen. Question can they be tuned differently, like a ukulele or a violin? How does different music styles sound? Thank you for keeping music alive-
Great video! I have a question, I bought a kamancheh because I fell in love with the tone and traditional style of music that kamancha is used in, I have been training using violin exercises for 2 years now, my question is, how do I get a different tone whilst playing? I'd like to achieve a warm, delicate, breathing-like sounding tone just as Mr Kalhor has in most of his yt videos. Please assist me, I love your culture and your music!
Dear master, I see that you have a stand for the spike to sit on, where can I find this kind of stand? Or is it a good idea to put the spike on a chair?
Thank you for your explanation. Your English is definitely better than mine. In Google search, I see that prominent musicians or great artists are still called maestro. May I ask what is your job?
Dear Koroush, i was sad not to find any women makers among your wonderful demonstrations, there are amazing ones!
I believe it is crucial to have more women in this industry.
Thank you for this amazing video! I live in Rome, I’m singing with a small persian Chopra. I really like the sounds of kamanchech, especially that of Mohammadhi Brothers.
Thank you!
Thank you!!! I'm iranian living in England and I would like to play one!!
Wow, first I thought they are differently tuned. Abs. amazing
That was just amazing! thank you for making this video so we can compare the sound of must famus brands of kamanche in iran.
This was wonderful, thank you! A discussion about various types and brands of strings would be amazing as well.
I could not hear so much of a sound difference (other than they all sounded beautiful) but the craftsmanship was absolutely stellar
thanks dear Koroush, your performance is great. It's joyful to hear and compare sound of different types of Kamanche at the same time.

thank you very moch
Thank you for making this video. I was looking for this musical instrument for my video , I made videos on Guessing Challenges
The one made by Ebrahim Qanbari Mehr has the smoother sound, the more organic. Love it.
absolutely interesting! I'm a cellist and viola da gamba player, I'd like to learn kamancheh also!
If you have a Kamancheh I can show you the way
good for you

I love the second... Heard before from my mom, i have persian blood. Yeah and Qodratullah one...

They all sounded very good to my untrained ear.
Where did you get the tall playing stand? It looks much more comfortable and handy than having the kamancheh on your knee!
matur suksma
Hello Mr. Kourosh. I'm from Brazil. How can I buy a Tarhu like this one (6:07) that you played? Thank you very much!

hi how do you tune The kamnche
Can I start learning to play kamancheh without any music background at the age of 30?
How long will it take to learn the basics?
of course, you can. It depends on how much time you spend.
Started at 35, my level is not bad ;)
Which stand are you using for Kamanche?
Dear master, I see that you have a stand for the spike to sit on, where can I find this kind of stand? Or is it a good idea to put the spike on a chair?
What about the Lori Kamancheh with the back open?
I didn't have it here in Toronto. I will show it later.
❤
It would be nice if it had a wooden top
