Big Mom faced both Kid and Law, pushing both of them to their breaking points and it took that and additional firepower to take her down as well. Whitebeard, well, it took a full-on war to be the end of him. And now Shanks, someone is very easy to like and very chill to be with, but even try to harm his friends and family and he will show no mercy, like warning Greenbull with his Conquerer's Haki reaching for miles from the sea to Wano and now using Observation and Conquerer's Haki and Roger's move, Divine Departure to cleave through Kid's ship and weapons
Don't forgot yamato also fought kaido. And whitebeard was no where near full strength since he was fighting pretty much on his deathbed. If compared at their peaks, i wonder where every emperor would rank on their own with no crews as backup.

I completely forgot, but not only did kaido fight all those people and gear 4 luffy before gear 5 luffy, but it was his power that was carrying the whole island the entire time.

I honestly liked how this was handled. The moment Kid entered the waters near the island he was in Elbaf territory. Shanks only intervened when he saw his allies get destroyed and nothing more. Once the threat was neutralized he left it up to the giants to decide their fate. Like the giants said. You point a gun at them expect to get shot back. But I'm gonna go out on a limb here and guess that Elbaf has a shoot on site policy when it comes to visitors. If you're hostile they'll blast ya. If not. They'll let you in.
Imagine waiting 25 years to see a character fight for the first time, it being over in a flash and still being amazed. Only Oda can think of something majestic like that.

With his observation haki he saw the ill-fated future that Kid would have caused massive destruction to Elbaph and his fleet with his Damned Punk. So with that deep insight into the future he wanted to nip this mess in the bud before it had the chance to get ugly, real ugly. Shanks took this matter and Kid both very seriously and knew that he had to end it all in one blow.

He's NOT worth 3B. He's strong - yes. However, Law and him should be worth less than Luffy. Especially him. If he could use advanced conqueror's then he'd be more of a threat, but he's definitely not on Luffy's level.

2 things of note in this scene. 1. Shanks' attitude. Shanks' is well liked amongst his kin. Beloved, even. He harbours no Ill will towards anyone and his forces outside of his crew have banter with him, even telling him to "shut up!", yet he didn't get mad at that because he is mature enough to know there is no malice behind what was said. He knows better. This light-hearted demeanor changed in an instant when his Observation Haki went off after seeing Kidd do something atrocious. His loving and kind attitude quickly shifts to a very serious, even desperate, one to avoid casualties. 2. Kidd's arrogance. Kidd, hot off the heels of taking down an Emperor of the Sea, believes he is able to finally do battle, proper battle, with Shanks. He forgot 3 major things; 1. It took he and Law everything in their arsenal they had to defeat Big Mom, 2. They didn't kill her, they only scored what is basically a ring-out, and 3. Shanks' patience would be gone after he attacked him twice before, the second resulting in the loss of his left arm. Yet Kidd persists, too consumed by his desire to fight Shanks to see the possibility that maybe this time, the Emperor of the Sea may take more than just an arm. The relationship between Shanks and his fleet captains is evident that he cares deeply for his allies. He is emotionally mature enough to hear them banter about him, knowing there is no seriousness or malice behind what is said. He is also mature enough to drop friendly formalities at the first sign of danger to ensure the safety of his friends, and takes action immediately. Kidd on the other hand is willing to gamble his pirating career, best friend in the form of Killer, and his crew and their lives to do what is basically a test run of a cool new weapon his just got. He is reckless and, in contrast to Shanks, uncaring for his crew, putting their lives at stake just for a shot at Shanks, a person he believes to be his arch enemy and rival. And it got everyone killed. If Kids wasn't so bull-headed and starving for revenge, he, Killer, and his crew may have survived this encounter. All Kidd had to do was look down at his left arm, and think.
1. You do know that kids were just following his log poss. So him running into shanks was not on purpose 2.shanks gave Kidd an ultimatum fight me or give me what I have and run away. 3. Kidd choosing to fight was not arrogance because he had to, or he wouldn’t be able to follow his dream

This is the first battle where things got real quick. We can imagine that all of these characters are men and women that Shanks has built relationships with, made friendships and had his own adventures with them. However, in less than a millisecond they are wiped away and destroyed. Shanks jumping into action to prevent further damage was the most realistic move a man with his power could preform.

Law was ambushed and defeated but escaped beaten but with the ability to recover thanks to Bepo. Luffy challenged the government while certainly not winning did cause worldwide chaos and didn't outright lose. Kid threatened people Shanks cared about and he was obliterated.

Kid's crew is a rival of Luffys which isn't exactly opposite, more like an examlke of a crew similar (i use this loosely as Kid's a confirmed murderer when Luffy isn't) who makes different decisions that the Straw Hats don't.

The way it’s drawn in the manga makes it seems even more instantaneous than this anime version with all the added time/shots of Shanks covering the distance.

Kidd simply was too arrogant on his high after beating Big mom. He literally couldn't beat Big mom without Law, and they didn't kill her it was more like both sides was exhausted and ended their round. He should of know full well that Shanks is far above the likes of Kaido and Big mom by 1 major fact that Rayleigh pointed out, those without devil fruits only become truly powerful by refining their haki. Shanks doesn't have a devil fruit thus he relies purely on haki and fighting techniques. Just going off of that alone, and his prior encounter with Shanks he should of had an understanding just how good his observation haki is, so no Kidd wasn't caught off guard, he simply made an attempt to wipe them out in 1 shot since that's the only way they could win, but was way too overconfident after his battle with Big mom. The only reason he didn't get killed by that attack is because killer literally jumped in to defend him, they were never ready to fight Shanks solo yet

The diference between Kid and Law is that Kid despite all the power he has he lacks skill and finesse in his attack its all bout how much destruction and damage he can cause, definition of just brute stregnth and with no real plan or tactical strategy in combat, the combo fight with Law vs Big Mom for example, BM commented that Laws attack were more dangerous cause it was doing far more critical damage compared to Kid, sure that could be due to Laws knowledge in anatomy cause hes a doctor but Law was also thiniking and timing his attack with precision and finesse unlike Kid who was tanking everything. Laws duel with Blackbeard was also one sided but thats due to Blackbeard having his crew gang up around him to take him down and mind you even so, Law still delivered heavy damage to BB and held his own despite the odds. Unlike Kid who just got one shoted and completly obliverated by Shanks alone within seconds. Law is a Yonko prospect and Kids not even close to one yet.

He harbours no Ill will towards anyone and his forces outside of his crew have banter with him, even telling him to "shut up!", yet he didn't get mad at that because he is mature enough to know there is no malice behind what was said. He knows better. This light-hearted demeanor changed in an instant when his Observation Haki went off after seeing Kidd do something atrocious. His loving and kind attitude quickly shifts to a very serious, even desperate, one to avoid casualties.
2. Kidd's arrogance.
Kidd, hot off the heels of taking down an Emperor of the Sea, believes he is able to finally do battle, proper battle, with Shanks.
He forgot 3 major things; 1. It took he and Law everything in their arsenal they had to defeat Big Mom, 2. They didn't kill her, they only scored what is basically a ring-out, and 3. Shanks' patience would be gone after he attacked him twice before, the second resulting in the loss of his left arm. Yet Kidd persists, too consumed by his desire to fight Shanks to see the possibility that maybe this time, the Emperor of the Sea may take more than just an arm.
The relationship between Shanks and his fleet captains is evident that he cares deeply for his allies. He is emotionally mature enough to hear them banter about him, knowing there is no seriousness or malice behind what is said. He is also mature enough to drop friendly formalities at the first sign of danger to ensure the safety of his friends, and takes action immediately.
Kidd on the other hand is willing to gamble his pirating career, best friend in the form of Killer, and his crew and their lives to do what is basically a test run of a cool new weapon his just got. He is reckless and, in contrast to Shanks, uncaring for his crew, putting their lives at stake just for a shot at Shanks, a person he believes to be his arch enemy and rival. And it got everyone killed.
If Kids wasn't so bull-headed and starving for revenge, he, Killer, and his crew may have survived this encounter.
All Kidd had to do was look down at his left arm, and think.
1. You do know that kids were just following his log poss. So him running into shanks was not on purpose
2.shanks gave Kidd an ultimatum fight me or give me what I have and run away.
3. Kidd choosing to fight was not arrogance because he had to, or he wouldn’t be able to follow his dream
@@ReemLordthe arrogance was that shanks was willing to square up properly 1v1 until kid decided to obliterate the island instead. Captain vs Captain is what it could have been but Kid attempted to attack his whole fleet believing he will win.
This is the first battle where things got real quick. We can imagine that all of these characters are men and women that Shanks has built relationships with, made friendships and had his own adventures with them. However, in less than a millisecond they are wiped away and destroyed. Shanks jumping into action to prevent further damage was the most realistic move a man with his power could preform.
I don’t think people emotion enough that Killer who managed to fight Zoro for a little bit and is quite strong himself got taken out as collateral damage

Beckman didn’t make an admiral backup. Kizaru paused did his weigh laugh and continued what he was doing before being threatened. Kizaru was straight up laughing at Beckman imo.

@@karimzaidi5951 willpower can be negative or positive. Bravery/Courage is positive, but Arrogance/Haughtiness is the negative of it.
Kid's crew is a rival of Luffys which isn't exactly opposite, more like an examlke of a crew similar (i use this loosely as Kid's a confirmed murderer when Luffy isn't) who makes different decisions that the Straw Hats don't.

Let’s be clear: Kidd is caught off guard. Kidd is preparing a massive attack from like half a mile away and in literally a split second a Yonkou has basically teleported 10ft in front of him. NONE of us knew Shanks could do anything like that when we read this and neither would Kidd. This was some Kizaru/Enel movement. The way it’s drawn in the manga makes it seems even more instantaneous than this anime version with all the added time/shots of Shanks covering the distance.

Kidd wasn't caught off guard what? If anything he caught Shanks off guard, Shanks only reacted to that thanks to his busted observation haki. Kidd simply was too arrogant on his high after beating Big mom.
He literally couldn't beat Big mom without Law, and they didn't kill her it was more like both sides was exhausted and ended their round. He should of know full well that Shanks is far above the likes of Kaido and Big mom by 1 major fact that Rayleigh pointed out, those without devil fruits only become truly powerful by refining their haki. Shanks doesn't have a devil fruit thus he relies purely on haki and fighting techniques.
Just going off of that alone, and his prior encounter with Shanks he should of had an understanding just how good his observation haki is, so no Kidd wasn't caught off guard, he simply made an attempt to wipe them out in 1 shot since that's the only way they could win, but was way too overconfident after his battle with Big mom.
The only reason he didn't get killed by that attack is because killer literally jumped in to defend him, they were never ready to fight Shanks solo yet

The diference between Kid and Law is that Kid despite all the power he has he lacks skill and finesse in his attack its all bout how much destruction and damage he can cause, definition of just brute stregnth and with no real plan or tactical strategy in combat, the combo fight with Law vs Big Mom for example, BM commented that Laws attack were more dangerous cause it was doing far more critical damage compared to Kid, sure that could be due to Laws knowledge in anatomy cause hes a doctor but Law was also thiniking and timing his attack with precision and finesse unlike Kid who was tanking everything. Laws duel with Blackbeard was also one sided but thats due to Blackbeard having his crew gang up around him to take him down and mind you even so, Law still delivered heavy damage to BB and held his own despite the odds. Unlike Kid who just got one shoted and completly obliverated by Shanks alone within seconds. Law is a Yonko prospect and Kids not even close to one yet.
