Just recently bought the box set myself from eBay for £299.99, pricey but worth every penny, it is fantastic. As you say the best Bruce Lee box set by far., the quality is just awesome.
I was and am still so keen on getting this box set. But at £120 just for the red one, I could not justify it at this point in my financial life. Congrats.
@gutz I've been on the website and the yellow ltd edition that stripey shows is also £120 so there's no price difference between red or yellow bud😊I have 2 young kids and I'm debating whether to get it now or wait .....oh the joys eh lol
This is one of those purchases that is an investment. This will hold it's value down the road. I was recently trying to obtain the rambo steelbook best buy edition and it's going for absurd money. This set will always hold its value If later you chose to sell it. Your going to regret it if later you change your mind and arrowfilms discontinues the set. Buy it while you can.

Got mine today too and I am blown away. Had a look at a bit of the GOD footage and was gobsmacked, it hasn't really sunk in yet! I sat and watched the Mandarin cut of The Big Boss and really enjoyed it. Starting with another viewing of the Mandarin cut tomorrow and from there I will be meticulously working my way through each disc and the extras. Good times to be a Lee fan.

Just to add me and a friend went to London for a bruce lee convention in the late 80s Dan inosanto performed a seminar with his team and they showed the uncut version of way of the dragon my first time very special cheers mate keep um coming

Seen loads of these Bruce 4K boxset unboxing videos but yours is my favourite Stripey. I have this same boxset myself but haven’t opened it yet because it had minor damage to it so ordered another one which says it should arrive by Friday or Saturday then i’m going to return the first one if this one arrives in perfect condition.
Hi Stripey Got mine yesterday at 14.21 Amazon man came a knocking. Like yourself I was like a kid in sweet shop when I unboxed the Red box Standard Blu Ray version. Watched the mandarin cut and its incredible what is in there. I must say although my set is not in 4K Ultra HD, you can see the improvement to the picture qaulity straight away. Arrow have done an amazing job. Enjoy Stripey!

Happy you got an undented one mate ! I've absolutely binged it over the last 24 hours. I think the picture quality is better on blu than it was in the cinema. The Final GOD epic documentary is incredible ! Absolute bargain I think.
Great to see someone's pure joy over this set! It's a beauty and I'm very impressed, but can't pretend to be a hardcore Bruce Lee fan! Grew up with Way of the Dragon as a kid but I've never gone on a deep dive. Hopefully this set will give me a new appreciation of him. Two other things: kudos on the Ace Ventura reference, one I've made many times in relation to blu-ray box sets! I've never gone as far as including the clip though, fair play 😆 And I'd just like to give credit where it's due on the presentation of the video itself, I appreciate a well framed and lit bit of production! And with the two angles as well - top notch 👌
My set is coming on Wednesday, the 4k red boxset and I'm in the USA. Apparently my pre-order for Enter the Dragon 4k UHD has been delayed by Amazon until August 31st (originally was supposed to be released on August 8th.) I plan on replacing the Enter the Dragon disc in this boxset with that 4k UHD disc whenever it arrives.
I'm going nuts over here in the US. Tracking hasn't shown movement on my box since Friday. Watching this video just makes me want it even more! Great unboxing video! I'm glad you've gotten yours and that it made it to you in good shape. Enjoy!
The main feature on the alternate versions disc is the Singapore cut with the Billy Lo arrest ending which is the one that has been in circulation for video releases, TV screenings and cinema re-releases in HK and Asian territories except Japan since the late 80s though the HK version that was shown on Channel 4 in the UK in the late 90s/early 2000s was the Singapore cut with the Billy Lo arrest ending which is where I first watched this version when it premiered on network TV in 1997 and I recorded that version off Channel 4 TV in the 1999 and 2001 screenings the latter thinking that the Inosanto fight would be included

Hi Stripey I brought the Bruce Lee DVD set, and watched the Big Boss There are scenes that are not in the English version but the scene of Bruce Lee embedding a saw through the head of one of the gang members is not in the movie.
I went with the red box as I wanted it to match the enter the dragon 50th anniversary box. Thats was the only reason. Still waiting on mine though but I couldn't help watching nearly every unboxing so far. 😂
Definitley wouldn't have been quicker. I thought the same today I went to my local HMV store and surprise surprise, they don't have it in store. You can only order the 4k online or order it instore to be delivered.
The Movies will still be the Edited versions, I have seen the Full Unedited Versions of all His films. I would be sitting there going. Cut that out. That's still missing. I will wait to see Your review of them all, with a blow by blow of the Cuts. At 7:56 Pause here. And the Picture were the disc was. I have the Full Cardboard Cutout with Nunchu From the Cinema Lobby Plus all the Lobby Cards Blank on the back, and also the Original Full size UK Cinema Posters to all of His films.

So watched 4K Mandarin cut of Big Boss , also watched the 35mm unrestored Mandarin cut , which I enjoyed so much more, felt raw, like I was watching an X- rated forbidden fruit, Loved it , highly recommend this version is watched close to watching the 4K version to get that immediate comparison! Has anyone else done this and had similar thoughts?

I got mine on Saturday the same version as yours & I've watched nearly all the discs & honestly your in for a treat it is the ultimate bruce lee boxset ever made i have loads of previous Bruce boxsets & they can't match this for picture quality extras this has everything it's outstanding great review keep up the good work 👍

Totally surprised at how big the set was! We’d love nothing more than to own this set, but, by the time it arrives in the United States it will cost approximately $176 delivered. We currently do not own any Bruce Lee movies and we were contemplating this set. My husband has Parkinson’s, so our money is budgeted these days but he LOVES your channel!! It was 145.53 pounds(don't have a pound symbol on my keyboard) , which is $188.71. I preordered in April from Arrow Video. They have yet to ship to me !!! looks like I will be getting a damaged yellow boxed set from a return to Arrow Video from a unhappy UK Customer !!!
I received mine this morning but it arrived damaged. On the side by where the HDR sticker was it has minor damage. It’s not too bad but i’m fussy and like my things perfect so i might return it for a replacement.

I ordered from Diabolik as well and read their email this morning on how half their inventory arrived in poor condition. They should get more stock by end of this month. I ordered the blu ray edition box, along with a region free blu ray player.
What is the picture quality like for these titles in 4K compared to the criterion blu ray? Is it a drastic improvement? I do not have the blu ray or 4k collections of Bruce Lee’s movies so I am wondering if it is worth paying double the money for the 4Ks or to save some money and settle on the blu ray criterion collection

@@StripeyR In Australia back in 1982, we got the 4 HK movies from a company called Star Video presented in those artworks in a set that came with its own Bruce Lee trailers. This would have been a perfect set had the Big Boss not been slightly censored and Way of the Dragon heavily censored, but Fist of Fury was 100% complete. Hopefully this link I am sharing works as it is on TH-cam. Here is the trailers for them. I have recreated the VHS cover art and I am hoping to find a shop here in the UK who can one day do DVD quality prints of these to make once I perfected them as they are based exactly as these covers were. th-cam.com/video/8_dn1VUy_rE/w-d-xo.html
I see there is still the red box on the arrow site. what is the difference between the two. I see they both say 4k ultra HD hdr on them. Just wondering if both sets are the same quality of picture.

I ordered the Red Boxset which arrived on Saturday, I felt like a kid on Xmas morning taking it all in! Arrow have set the bar really high now in terms of the attention to detail, packaging, and love that went into these sets. As time has gone on I'm really liking the Artwork on the Arrow Exclusive (the Yellow boxset). I would love to get the cover artwork framed it's truly that good. I look forward to a comprehensive review of the whole set/comparison against the Criterion Collection As always keep up the excellent work mate!
Love my set was lucky got it days ago, very much enjoyed ur love and enthusiasm for this. Gotta say it tho, u keep saying 4k ultra HD, which is of course aces BUT it’s WAY more exciting and cooler that it’s Dolby vision & HDR mate 😉. That is the killer combo and makes this set extra special. Any content with Dolby Vision is a significant improvement in depth and color accuracy over 4K!!!! Just sayin. Enjoy (sick to death of man and the legend and Bruce the legend tho, ancient shit that is, first doc I ever saw ha, don’t care it’s in 1080 myself)

Enter the Dragon HK version had a different script from the international print, and seemed more intelligent, less cartoonish. BL helped co-write the HK release of the film.

Hi, no it only contains the extended directors cut. However, the theatrical cut will be included with the Warners UK release in August.

Saw Way of the Dragon at the Prince Charles on Friday. So good to see on the big screen. Just amazing films.

Happy you got an undented one mate ! I've absolutely binged it over the last 24 hours. I think the picture quality is better on blu than it was in the cinema. The Final GOD epic documentary is incredible ! Absolute bargain I think.
Totally agree. Only watched an hour of the final GOD, but the remastered footage is absolutely amazing.

Great to see someone's pure joy over this set! It's a beauty and I'm very impressed, but can't pretend to be a hardcore Bruce Lee fan! Grew up with Way of the Dragon as a kid but I've never gone on a deep dive. Hopefully this set will give me a new appreciation of him. Two other things: kudos on the Ace Ventura reference, one I've made many times in relation to blu-ray box sets! I've never gone as far as including the clip though, fair play 😆 And I'd just like to give credit where it's due on the presentation of the video itself, I appreciate a well framed and lit bit of production! And with the two angles as well - top notch 👌

My set is coming on Wednesday, the 4k red boxset and I'm in the USA. Apparently my pre-order for Enter the Dragon 4k UHD has been delayed by Amazon until August 31st (originally was supposed to be released on August 8th.) I plan on replacing the Enter the Dragon disc in this boxset with that 4k UHD disc whenever it arrives.
I'm going nuts over here in the US. Tracking hasn't shown movement on my box since Friday. Watching this video just makes me want it even more! Great unboxing video! I'm glad you've gotten yours and that it made it to you in good shape. Enjoy!

The main feature on the alternate versions disc is the Singapore cut with the Billy Lo arrest ending which is the one that has been in circulation for video releases, TV screenings and cinema re-releases in HK and Asian territories except Japan since the late 80s though the HK version that was shown on Channel 4 in the UK in the late 90s/early 2000s was the Singapore cut with the Billy Lo arrest ending which is where I first watched this version when it premiered on network TV in 1997 and I recorded that version off Channel 4 TV in the 1999 and 2001 screenings the latter thinking that the Inosanto fight would be included

I went with the red box as I wanted it to match the enter the dragon 50th anniversary box. Thats was the only reason. Still waiting on mine though but I couldn't help watching nearly every unboxing so far. 😂

Definitley wouldn't have been quicker. I thought the same today I went to my local HMV store and surprise surprise, they don't have it in store. You can only order the 4k online or order it instore to be delivered.

The Movies will still be the Edited versions, I have seen the Full Unedited Versions of all His films. I would be sitting there going. Cut that out. That's still missing. I will wait to see Your review of them all, with a blow by blow of the Cuts. At 7:56 Pause here. And the Picture were the disc was. I have the Full Cardboard Cutout with Nunchu From the Cinema Lobby Plus all the Lobby Cards Blank on the back, and also the Original Full size UK Cinema Posters to all of His films.

So watched 4K Mandarin cut of Big Boss , also watched the 35mm unrestored Mandarin cut , which I enjoyed so much more, felt raw, like I was watching an X- rated forbidden fruit, Loved it , highly recommend this version is watched close to watching the 4K version to get that immediate comparison! Has anyone else done this and had similar thoughts?

Totally surprised at how big the set was! We’d love nothing more than to own this set, but, by the time it arrives in the United States it will cost approximately $176 delivered. We currently do not own any Bruce Lee movies and we were contemplating this set. My husband has Parkinson’s, so our money is budgeted these days but he LOVES your channel!! We’re vinyl enthusiasts which is why we subscribed in the first place.🙏🏻❤️You being a Bruce Lee fan was an exceptional bonus, LOL!😂For someone who doesn’t own these movies, do you think the Criterion Bruce Lee Greatest Hits a great option for us? My pleasure & thank you. The Golden Harvest box is amazing (I've only watched The Big Boss Mandarin Cut & my mind has been blown) but $176 is expensive. In my humble opinion the Criterion set is fantastic, but personally I'd hold tight & see if you guys could get this Arrow set (maybe at a better price) it's beautiful (and I've only watched one disc)

It was 145.53 pounds(don't have a pound symbol on my keyboard) , which is $188.71. I preordered in April from Arrow Video. They have yet to ship to me !!! looks like I will be getting a damaged yellow boxed set from a return to Arrow Video from a unhappy UK Customer !!!

I received mine this morning but it arrived damaged. On the side by where the HDR sticker was it has minor damage. It’s not too bad but i’m fussy and like my things perfect so i might return it for a replacement.

What is the picture quality like for these titles in 4K compared to the criterion blu ray? Is it a drastic improvement?
I do not have the blu ray or 4k collections of Bruce Lee’s movies so I am wondering if it is worth paying double the money for the 4Ks or to save some money and settle on the blu ray criterion collection

@@StripeyR In Australia back in 1982, we got the 4 HK movies from a company called Star Video presented in those artworks in a set that came with its own Bruce Lee trailers. This would have been a perfect set had the Big Boss not been slightly censored and Way of the Dragon heavily censored, but Fist of Fury was 100% complete. Hopefully this link I am sharing works as it is on TH-cam. Here is the trailers for them. I have recreated the VHS cover art and I am hoping to find a shop here in the UK who can one day do DVD quality prints of these to make once I perfected them as they are based exactly as these covers were. th-cam.com/video/8_dn1VUy_rE/w-d-xo.html
I see there is still the red box on the arrow site. what is the difference between the two. I see they both say 4k ultra HD hdr on them. Just wondering if both sets are the same quality of picture.

Arrow have set the bar really high now in terms of the attention to detail, packaging, and love that went into these sets.
As time has gone on I'm really liking the Artwork on the Arrow Exclusive (the Yellow boxset). I would love to get the cover artwork framed it's truly that good.
I look forward to a comprehensive review of the whole set/comparison against the Criterion Collection

Love my set was lucky got it days ago, very much enjoyed ur love and enthusiasm for this. Gotta say it tho, u keep saying 4k ultra HD, which is of course aces BUT it’s WAY more exciting and cooler that it’s Dolby vision & HDR mate 😉. That is the killer combo and makes this set extra special. Any content with Dolby Vision is a significant improvement in depth and color accuracy over 4K!!!! Just sayin. Enjoy (sick to death of man and the legend and Bruce the legend tho, ancient shit that is, first doc I ever saw ha, don’t care it’s in 1080 myself)
What are the main difference between the Red and Yellow Boxes? are all the disk is 4K Region free?
The Yellow is an Arrow exclusive 4K HDR, mate. The Red is the ones on Amazon etc. 4K & Blu-Ray. I think they are Region B (but I'm not too sure)
Probably a quick upscaled release I can't imagine they did a full rescan of the 35mm footage shot back in the day.
They are newly restored by Arrow Films from the original negatives

Enter the Dragon HK version had a different script from the international print, and seemed more intelligent, less cartoonish. BL helped co-write the HK release of the film.
