By intentional living, I mean living frugally, with little waste. Thrifting is a huge part of that, but I will eventually probably expand to money saving tips, and going over what we choose not to buy, and how we try to live without giving our money to popular brands and large corporations.

I just joined your youtube family. Coming from Maranda Christine's channel. So refreshing to see that you are working at keeping the true meaning of Christmas alive with your family. Your best finds were the leather coat and the Christmas tree. Put the white plastic ornaments on the bottom of the tree where you little ones might reach and add the glass white to the top.
Now this is just a guess, but that beautiful coat looks like something from the 90’s. I remember wanting a leather coat so badly when I was in high school :) You look great in it!
I am the same as you I have always said "Point Setta" 🤣 no one has ever corrected me 🤣🤣🤣 My vote is decorate vintage and try to return that tree collar or just keep it for next year or maybe get a second large tree if you have room and decorate it in your bedroom, dining room or second living room if you have one?

That’s a super tough choice between the tree skirt and tree collar, I love them both! I’ve been doing a woodland tree theme but this year I’m doing a primitive/Victorian tree. I’ve been searching our flea markets for decor and really enjoying the hunt. I already follow Miranda, she’s sweet.
I’m the same way about home decor- no target & Hobby Lobby. I like them but everyone and their mother has it in their home. I love the thrift higher looking items.

What a thoughtful comment! I haven’t done any modeling. Too much pressure and criticism. I love my husband and my children, and their opinions about my body are the only ones I want to hear! But, my mom modeled for a long time!
I have a tree collar and absolutely love it, but your skirt is such a special piece too! I saw someone layered both in their home and it was beautiful. Ie. They put the skirt peeking out from the collar. Totally dependent on the sizes of both! :) Can't go wrong with either option in this case!
Can you use your “blessing tree” (btw, we have one of those trees, gifted to us by a couple from our small group when we had no money for one and they were discarding it) for your vintage tree skirt and ornaments and then for your new tree use the Target tree collar and more contemporary ornaments? That way you’ll have both styles that you like.

Just came over from Maranda’s channel. Try putting your tree skirt down, put your tree basket collar in the center and then put your tree in the collar. It will look beautiful!
Love both the tree collar and the vintage tree skirt but I would take the collar back. If you decide next year you’d rather use that then you can go back and get it. I definitely think the white ornaments will look so good with the red and green on the tree skirt. I’m loving your videos. I’ve recently started thrifting and it’s fun to see what other people score.
I’m having trouble deciding, because sometimes I feel like too many patterns becomes overwhelming! The thing I like about the tree color is that it’s cozy but also not distracting. You know?! I feel so conflicted!
@@KristenHoffman I get what your saying! I feel like that too with patterns. Either way you go it will be so pretty. I have a tree color from hearth and hand that’s just a regular basket style and I really feel like it just makes the tree look so good and you don’t have to deal with a tree skirt moving around and always having to adjust it.
Haha, I hate red too, but not at Christmas, it’s the only time you’ll see red in my house, and lots of it.😉 Use both tree collar and skirt, you can drape the skirt over the collar, like you would a blanket basket.
You are probably right, there! I think I’m torn because I have had the collar on my wish list for years. We also have a robot vacuum that I’m nervous would eat the skirt, haha!

I've been married for 35 years and the best Christmas we've had is when we didn't have much money. I was a stay-at-home mom and I used to go flea marketing, definitely thrifting and some antiquing. Most everything in my home is used. God is blessed us over the years but I still remember when we had to watch our money to buy Christmas. Remember, Christmas isn't our birthday, it's Jesus's birthday. That was a saying on Little House on the prairie Christmas. I always recite that to myself when I feel down at Christmas. Cherish your moments with your children! These are times you will never get back, when you have children at home. Your home is beautiful and I can tell, you have fun finding treasures for your home. That's what's fun. Hope you have a wonderful Christmas!!

I also have 3 :) all grown now. It is a great tradition. Loved the vintage tree skirt !! And I have been searching for a few years for all white vintage look ornanents!! Thrilled to see your 3 boxes!! I am hoping to do an all white tree this year with angel ornaments. Maybe add some frosty blue/turquoise balls as well along with the white.

Can you use your “blessing tree” (btw, we have one of those trees, gifted to us by a couple from our small group when we had no money for one and they were discarding it) for your vintage tree skirt and ornaments and then for your new tree use the Target tree collar and more contemporary ornaments? That way you’ll have both styles that you like.

Love both the tree collar and the vintage tree skirt but I would take the collar back. If you decide next year you’d rather use that then you can go back and get it. I definitely think the white ornaments will look so good with the red and green on the tree skirt. I’m loving your videos. I’ve recently started thrifting and it’s fun to see what other people score.
I’m having trouble deciding, because sometimes I feel like too many patterns becomes overwhelming! The thing I like about the tree color is that it’s cozy but also not distracting. You know?! I feel so conflicted!
@@KristenHoffman I get what your saying! I feel like that too with patterns. Either way you go it will be so pretty. I have a tree color from hearth and hand that’s just a regular basket style and I really feel like it just makes the tree look so good and you don’t have to deal with a tree skirt moving around and always having to adjust it.
We have a robot vacuum too, so that’s a whole other variable!
Haha, I hate red too, but not at Christmas, it’s the only time you’ll see red in my house, and lots of it.😉 Use both tree collar and skirt, you can drape the skirt over the collar, like you would a blanket basket.

I've been married for 35 years and the best Christmas we've had is when we didn't have much money. I was a stay-at-home mom and I used to go flea marketing, definitely thrifting and some antiquing. Most everything in my home is used. God is blessed us over the years but I still remember when we had to watch our money to buy Christmas. Remember, Christmas isn't our birthday, it's Jesus's birthday. That was a saying on Little House on the prairie Christmas. I always recite that to myself when I feel down at Christmas. Cherish your moments with your children! These are times you will never get back, when you have children at home. Your home is beautiful and I can tell, you have fun finding treasures for your home. That's what's fun. Hope you have a wonderful Christmas!!
