I don't mind when people have sponsors. Eveyone needs to make a living! I love your videos and can't wait to see your new old house. Many blessings for you and your family!!
I’m the quilter back and commenting. Just so you know, that quilt is a bargain! If I were to make it, it would cost over $100 in materials alone to make it. If your are finding quilts for a few dollars, that’s just crazy! It makes me think that someday my quilts may end up in a thrift shop for next to nothing. I would just hope that someone at sometime will love it and enjoy it. Also, so many of the things that you are looking to buy, I have in my home! I should just start a box for you and go through my house to thin things out and then send them all to you. What you don’t want, you can either donate or sell. I think I have brass candlesticks like you’re looking for. Anyway, I love your videos and can’t wait to see your house!
Beautiful quilt Kristen! So excited for you to get the keys to your new place. The 5 of you will be calling it home in no time. Also congrats on your new business venture and I look forward to seeing the products you will be endorsing. Happy to hear you are all on the mend. Take care. p.s. - whenever I pass on an item at a thrift store and then go back to purchase it, it’s never there 😢 but then I tell myself it wasn’t meant to be.
I usually have to think about something I’ve seen and go back for it. I’m glad I’m not the only one. My hubby always says, if you like it, get it. I have many regrets when I go home and see where I can put it and it’s gone the next day I go back.
Great haul Kristen‼️ I absolutely loved everything 😍 I am so glad that you are all feeling better ❣️ Thank you so much for taking us along with you and sharing what you got ❤️ Good for you for taking on the sponsorships 💯 Honestly, that's part of what TH-cam is all about. You put out such amazing content for us and you should be rewarded for your work, no questions asked! Anyone who watches TH-cam should be used to the Sponsor stuff anyhow. I am very happy for you that you are taking some on and look forward to seeing the things you are trying out 😊 Heck Girl, it's free products/items to you anyhow 😜💜
Red ticking much prettier than the floral.. Great items.. Thank you for sharing.. My grandparents home smelled also like old wood..their home was built 1820..great old farm house..precious memories..we also had a dirt cellar whee my cousin and I use to play..🤗🤗🌞🌞
I loved our old farm house..I have so many precious memories..now when I go home to a small village up-state NY, the house is still present, but they have turned it into two duplexes, I can stand outside, remember how it was, my bedroom window on the 2 nd floor is still present..I don’t want to go inside, I just want to remember how it was..memories..
I am super proud of your splurge on expensive items that you TRULY loved. I could see the glow in your face and the happiness in your voice when you were showing us them ❣️
I feel a little better about it when I know my dollars are going towards a person and a small business, and not a corporation. I actually met the owner of the booth, and she was very sweet!
So thankful to know you are all feeling better ! Praise the Lord 🙏 What a ruff couple of months and not being in your own home… I admire your strength Kristen! So glad to see you hold up that beautiful Quilt and oh my….fabulous old leather bag ! That is perfectly aged ❤️ I always buy old leather purses. When I was still working, ladies would ask me to tell them when I was giving it up….they wanted to buy them! LOL! I love old leather ! Rosie is a precious….precious soul! God bless her with that doll comment! She is right, broken toys, dolls and people need LOVE ! Keys !!! Yes ! Can’t wait ! God bless !!!!
Hi Kristen! I came across your channel and saw that you had been thrift shopping in Ozark and Springfield, Mo. I live in Nixa which is 6 miles from each of those towns. I actually volunteered at the charity thrift store (NR on the price tags) that you visited. It benefits The local Family Violence Center. As for your visit to the Red Racks thrift store in Springfield, you are 100% correct! SO OVERPRICED!! The biggest share of their items are price more than you can buy it for new! It actually is supposed to benefit the DAV, Disabled American Veterans…….however???? I didn’t know if you had family in the area or if you were just visiting as this was my first time visiting your channel. Happy thrifting and God bless you and your family!
I lived in ozark mo. Im in willard mo now. 30 minutes away. The ozarka have a lot of antique stores thrift stores. I enjoy them too. Red racks are expensive.
Oh yes take the sponsorships! I never understand why people get butt hurt about that. You should be getting paid for putting out awesome content, it’s a lot of work! So happy for you!
Thank you! I have had people tell me to "not become like the other TH-camrs".... but I don't know what they mean by that! Haha. I get nervous that people are going to roll their eyes at me if I take a sponsor. I'm just trying to be open about why I'm taking them.
Great find with the sheets! I search thrift stores for them too...the old ones are the best. I have a bunch of old pillow cases from my Mom and they have crochet edges, just beautiful...they don't make them like that anymore. Regarding the smell of your house...when our oldest son went away to college and then came back home for a visit, he commented on loving how 'home' smelled! :) We have a 200 year old stone farm house, so there is that old wood smell that I just love! Great finds today...can't wait to see where you put everything in your new home.
The green enameled brass chamber stick is incredible! And I jumped for joy when you showed you did get that tiny little bayberry crock. I immediately saw a small little Christmas tree in it sitting on a kitchen window sill in the winter.
The patchwork quilt and linen/cotton pillowcases were my favourite items. Congratulations on being approached by sponsors ! So glad all of your family are healthy again. Hi from Australia 🇦🇺
Soooooooo happy that you are all feeling better.....if the ticking stripe wallpaper doesn't have a lot, use it to line drawers and cabinets....super fun ♥️♥️♥️
I love those S & P shakers! I had those dishes when I first married in the 70s. Still have a few pieces. My favorite. Those are big! Won’t have to fill them up as often!
Hi, Kristen. So glad the Lord touched all of you and that you are feeling better. Loved the blue and white quilt. Your heart's desire came from the Lord. ....he hears you! I love the purse too...what a find. So excited to see your new home. God is good! Greetings from Oklahoma. Jane Greene
I have revere wear pots and pants and I have had them for for 30 years and they're still going good still actually look really good and there's stainless steel I use them everyday
You found all the best treasures! I do the same thing sometimes and have NON buyers remorse and have gone back the same day and missed out! I thinks it's the frugile in me. Live and learn.. I'm so excited to see the walk through and just love your brutal honesty! ♥️
So happy for you reaching this point! You are such a sweet person and I so enjoy watching your videos. Keep it up and I cannot wait to see your new home.
I knew you would get the Dooney [I would have too!] and that bayberry crock. Oh, that beautiful quilt- I have been on the hunt for one lately and they are easily over $100. You got a deal on the sheets and pillow cases so that can offset something[s] you may have "splurged" on. What a sweet story about the doll. You s&p shakers remind me of lighthouses. We have large ones too. The dresses are adorable and I love the ticking wallpaper. I am glad everyone is feeling better and am so excited for the new house!
My sister snd I today were talking about every home having it’s own scent. She came to visit snd she said your house smells like our childhood home!😍 so excited about your home update 👏👏👏👏
NICE haul!!! I respect that you mentioned you being "stingy", as I was watching your video and you passed on the beautiful pj set because you thought $5 was too "high of a price" my mouth dropped!! I too am "frugal" ,so I get it BUT I think about the thrifts that I walk in and shop at. Some are small and have a overhead to pay out to keep the store "running" AND most important are there to help our communities and good causes (abused women, cancer survivors, veterans, animals, etc ..etc.) this to ME out weighs me trying to get "a deal" ;) so thank you for realizing and pointing that out about yourself. I encourage people to support these small community thrifts they are AWESOME!!
So glad you're all feeling better. I totally can relate to having regrets from passing up on some great deals at the Thrift. But you really scored some amazing things! Looking forward to your new home tour! Take care and God bless. 🙏🏻🥰🙏🏻💕
Glad you got the DB purse...great deal! Also, Rosie has a heart of gold. That brought tears to eyes. Can't wait to see the new house. God bless you and your family!
Congratulations on getting sponsors and moving into your new home,. So much to be excited about! You found alot of beautiful items. The v neck t shirts that you like, I found some at bass pro shop and they are $10.00 now. I always bought mine at target and loved them, but will be trying these from bass pro. Best of everything and Happy mother's day.
I live in Arkansas right on the edge of the Missouri line! I thrift in that area a lot! So if you ever find anything that you like but did not get you can always call them and have it shipped to you, you pay for shipping!! The next time go into Branson Mo, they have awesome thrift stores!!
Can't wait to see your new home. Glad you're all feeling better too. Great haul as usual Kristen. Love the blue and white scheme you have going. PS the crock with the pine trees 🌲 would have been perfect for Christmas decor. Did I just say Christmas 🤦♀️ blessings to you and yours!
About the scent when you walk in the door after being away from home. I hear ya I feel the same way it’s like you take a bagel with and think “I’m home!” I love watching your channel and I especially love that y’all are Godly folks! In a world full of negative and just terrible y’all are breath of fresh air! Many blessings and please keep those videos coming!!
That was so precious what sweet little Rosie said. 💗 You really found some great finds. I feel the same way about my home. Open the door and it doesn't smell like wallflowers or wax melts. It just smells like home. I love it. ❤ So excited you got the keys to your new home. I look forward to seeing it. God is so good!🙏 I am so glad you all feel better. Tyfs HUGS
I live in Southern California & thrift store prices here are absolutely ridiculous. It’s gotten to the point where I don’t want to go into Goodwill anymore because I would be paying Ross prices for used Goodwill goods.
That was a really fun video, and I love the story about the doll and your daughter. Best of luck with these new sponsors. You always provide such a good content.
Liked the new quilt and the previous. Understand exactly about the pricing sometimes especially in thrift stores. People give nice things away and the owners of Goodwill and others are millionaires off of others generosity.
@@KristenHoffman While I see the need for Goodwill to not give away everything because they do have overhead and have to pay their employees, I'm noticing they are pricing things higher or basic retail at times because of inflation when their goods are given to them. It just seems wrong to me. Many resellers have made their business finding nice things to sell for a profit. It takes a lot of time for them and they should make a profit. I think if you want something and you're willing to pay their price, you should get it. If you only want to resell, you may not be willing to pay their higher price. My Goodwill doesn't have a lot but I found a serving bowl and a soup bowl that matched my moms china that were $2.99. They were taped together and really weren't worth that but only to me because it matched my Mom's china. They were taped and I couldn't see the defect till getting home but it's too late. I wouldn't have paid that for the soup bowl and a badly chipped serving bowl. Love you and your precious family!
I excited to see what Sponsors you choose! There’s a lot on TH-cam and I’m not sure which ones are the good ones. So exciting! You’ll be in the new house in no time!!!
I Like looking at thrift stores and seeing how much these places charge for their items. I think it's a way to know a certain area without needing to go into that area. You can get a glimpse of the cost of living. I live on Long Island New York and the prices in Missouri and in Omaha are so much better than the ones that we have here. Especially now with inflation and everything, even women wearing Lululemon I know shopping at a thrift stores. No wonder our prices are getting more ridiculous
I make quilts, the material alone cost me 200 to 300 dollars then my work involved. I sell them for $500 to $1500. Depends on the size and the difficulty of the pattern. Also on if I can sew on the machine or if I have to hand sew (applique). Keep in mind the quality of the material and the difficulty of the pattern. That candle holder looks like it has green enamel ware on the base.
Yes, I am from Southwest MO and agree that Red Racks and even Goodwill prices are crazy high. Maybe I am stingy too, but I like the smaller charity shops much better, like one I volunteer at in little Buffalo, MO. ☺️. The Rogers/Bentonville AR area has some great ones too. So glad you're getting to move into your new place. Congratulations!🎉🎉🎉
I like to think that if I go back to buy something, and it's gone, that it's meant to be; that someone else was supposed to buy it who needed it more than I did. Who knows -- it could be true, and it's a comforting thought.
Tell me about it. I thrift in Springfield, Branson, Ozark and Nixa all the time and it's always either feast or famine! Red Racks has some really interesting people pricing stuff lol. I almost always leave empty handed because I'm like, I'm not paying that!
What a great haul!! I am TOTALLY the same way when it comes to prices being higher than I want...but still cheaper than full retail!🤣 But, always better to be on the frugal side and then go back if I REALLY need it!😁 Also, on situations with the quilts...to make me justify it more I will average out how much they both cost! So, you only paid like $35 for each of your new quilts!! Sounds better, right??!!! At least it does when I tell my hubby!🤣🤣🤣
The shop you're referring to is probably Red Racks. They are Disabled American Veterans stores, and they get hit pretty hard, along with Goodwill stores in Springfield. Thrift shops across the country are raising their prices which does make it more difficult for flippers.
Kristin, broaden your horizons 😝, I thrift for groceries, in Michigan our Goodwill shoes are7-20. Hard goods 9-14.99! The quilt is stunning, a statement piece. I’m working on not being jealous. Elizabeth
Glad you are feeling better. Congratulations on the sponsorship videos you have coming up. Looking forward to seeing the new home and the sponsorship videos. Love the striped dress for your daughter.
Your daughter is a gem! Many children would never want a doll with 1 foot. Great life lesson for all of us.
She is literally an angel, I tell ya!
I don't mind when people have sponsors. Eveyone needs to make a living! I love your videos and can't wait to see your new old house. Many blessings for you and your family!!
I agree. The only thing I don’t like is when people have sponsors on every video. Because then it doesn’t feel personal anymore.
Thank you for understanding, Emily!
Rosie's comment about the doll absolutely warmed my heart 💖 You and Josh are doing such an amazing job raising those 3 beautiful girls ❣️❤️
Thank you!
Kristen, you are a natural in front of the camera. This will be a brand new beginning for you! I enjoy you and your loving family!
Thank you so much!!
I'm so glad you got that quilt! It's beautiful

p.s. - whenever I pass on an item at a thrift store and then go back to purchase it, it’s never there 😢 but then I tell myself it wasn’t meant to be.
I tell myself the same thing!
Baking soda and white vinegar to help with the white dress- both dresses are so adorable !!!
vinegar and baking soda fixes everything!
I’m always happy when people I enjoy watching are sponsored! Such a gift, for all the hard work you do making the videos!
Thank you for understanding this!
What Rosie said about the doll was so cute. Love the little dresses, candle stick and quilt.
I think so too!
I forgot to mention lol 😆 I so look forward to seeing the house and am SO excited for you and Josh ❣️🎉❤️
The tour is going up VERY soon!
Absolutely loving your sweater! It looks so cozy and I love the texture.
I'm all about that cozy life!
I usually have to think about something I’ve seen and go back for it. I’m glad I’m not the only one. My hubby always says, if you like it, get it. I have many regrets when I go home and see where I can put it and it’s gone the next day I go back.

I feel a little better about it when I know my dollars are going towards a person and a small business, and not a corporation. I actually met the owner of the booth, and she was very sweet!
Wonderful finds. The quilt was a great price. The dresses are gorgeous and will look adorable on your little girl. Thanks so much for sharing!
Thank you, Penny!
The story behind Isabelle is darling!!! Such sweet girls! You can always use the wallpaper behind shelving in a hutch or bookcase.
Good idea!

That quilt is mind blowing! It must have been appliquéd! Lovely!
I too hate microfiber… hate it…
It really was beautiful!
Great find with the sheets! I search thrift stores for them too...the old ones are the best. You are hilarious! “I got hoops!” Haha

Yes, one footed dolls need love just as one (or no) earred bunnies do too.
I excited to see what Sponsors you choose! There’s a lot on TH-cam and I’m not sure which ones are the good ones.
So exciting! You’ll be in the new house in no time!!!
Thank you for understanding, Julia!
I am from Nebraska, live in KC now, but I went thrifting in Omaha this weekend. The Goodwill off of 120th and Maple was PACKED with goodies!
Omaha has great thrifting! And great people!
Great haul! We have such similar taste!
Congratulations on your new house. 🏘Love your videos.
Thank you so much!!
You can line your drawers with wall paper.
I’ve used vintage wallpaper to line dresser drawers with. Just an idea.
Great idea!
Loved the little bayberry crock
So cute, right?!
Inflation is happening here, too! A lot of our clothing prices at thrift stores have DOUBLED over the last couple years!
I have been working on a quilt for a couple years now. It is SO much work! I understand why they are so pricey!
We are so excited to move in!
You did great with all your finds!!!
Thank you!! 😊
Hi there, I am about an hour south of Ozark.
I need to go thrifting up that way
I love the area!
I love to watch my fellow thrifting TH-camrs, it's why I started my channel. It never gets old to learn from others. So much fun!
I always learn so much!
Yes, glad you are doing some sponsors! A wise financial decision. 😊 Also, dolls with only 1 leg need love too ❤️
Thank you for understanding, Sandy!
Sponsor away, Kristen! Looking forward to it!
I appreciate this, Diana!
I live north of Springfield! Red Rack thrift stores are overpriced! Love the things you found!
Yes! Thank you!
Nixa near Ozark is also a great antique town 🤗
Yes, that's where my family lives!
Red Racks! Yes! They are high! So is Goodwill!
I thought so too!
Rosie is such a kind little girl ❤️,
Yes, she is!
Looking forward to videos. I like sponsored videos too!
Awesome! Thank you!
I like to think that if I go back to buy something, and it's gone, that it's meant to be; that someone else was supposed to buy it who needed it more than I did. Who knows -- it could be true, and it's a comforting thought.
Oooh love that phfaltgraph pitcher . It was a creamer .. I’ve been collecting that Firlei collection. 🤦🏻♀️ I’m pretty sure I spelled wrong
Nice!
Tell me about it. I thrift in Springfield, Branson, Ozark and Nixa all the time and it's always either feast or famine! Red Racks has some really interesting people pricing stuff lol. I almost always leave empty handed because I'm like, I'm not paying that!
I had a hard time not rolling my eyes!
There we go!
Keep it up, your channel will keep growing, mark my words!
Hope so!
The shop you're referring to is probably Red Racks. They are Disabled American Veterans stores, and they get hit pretty hard, along with Goodwill stores in Springfield. Thrift shops across the country are raising their prices which does make it more difficult for flippers.
Everything seems to be going up these days!
Kristin, broaden your horizons 😝, I thrift for groceries, in Michigan our Goodwill shoes are7-20. Hard goods 9-14.99! The quilt is stunning, a statement piece. I’m working on not being jealous. Elizabeth
Thank you! I have a hard time buying used, when I could buy new for the same price. It's an internal battle!
Glad you are feeling better. Congratulations on the sponsorship videos you have coming up. Looking forward to seeing the new home and the sponsorship videos. Love the striped dress for your daughter.
The home tour is coming VERY soon!
Yes do it sweetie being sponsored is perfectly fine 🤗💕
Thank you for understanding, Gina!
