    If you leave a comment I appreciate it! But, youtube is being glitchy and I'm not able to see all comments. They say they are working on the problem. If I don't respond to your comment it's most likely because it has disappeared from my view. Hopefully I will be able to see it soon.

      I think what you are doing is incredibly courageous. Driving especially. I have driven my whole life in many countries but I’m terrified of driving in Mexico 😏.
      It is hard doing it alone (I am on this quest alone as well). Isolating, lonely and with no one else having your back. Sometimes just hearing a friendly voice (or getting a friendly comment) sustains us.
      I’m finding Mazatlan to be way too big a city - too much concrete. I want to get a dog but not here. Trash, exhaust from cars, sewage, not clean beaches in Centro - walking them wouldn’t be enjoyable. And the summer heat is oppressive and hard on their paws. I miss having a best buddy with me.
      But where to go where it is cooler in summer but not too cold in winter, green spaces and quiet but still close to shopping and medical. Somewhere where I can meet other Exoats and have friends since my Spanish is beginner and would make integration difficult in a small Pueblo. I haven’t figured it out which is why I love watching your travels because I think we are kindred spirits in some ways.

    Nestled in the heart of Mexico, Guanajuato City is a vibrant tapestry of colonial charm and cultural richness. This UNESCO World Heritage site dazzles visitors with its narrow, winding streets, colorful hillside homes, and an enchanting blend of Spanish and indigenous architectural styles. The city's historic center is a labyrinth of picturesque plazas, ornate churches, and lively markets, all set against the backdrop of the surrounding mountains. Notable landmarks such as the Alhóndiga de Granaditas and the Teatro Juárez highlight its storied past, while the bustling Callejón del Beso (Alley of the Kiss) and the lively student atmosphere of the Universidad de Guanajuato infuse the city with a youthful spirit. Whether wandering through its subterranean roadways or attending the famed Cervantino Festival, Guanajuato City offers a mesmerizing glimpse into Mexico's rich cultural heritage. Great video Mora Margaret!

    We stumbled upon your videos just by chance in the never ending streams of suggestions. This one really caught our eye, as I think we and you were both in Guanjuato at the same time. June 2024. We're pretty sure we'll be moving there as of January 2025. I wanted to tap into you to see if you had any specific suggestions about this city but can't find an email address. Hopefully we'll be able to connect.

      @@MoraMargaret yes indeed my hair has changed so much in just the last 2 years and I am 60. I’ve been coloring it for so long (blond) that I have no idea what my true color is - probably some shade of mousy gray. It took my older sister more than one year to “grow out” all of her colored hair and although I don’t consider myself all that vain, I wish there was a quicker way! Thinking I will go a little darker and color less frequently for a while and see how that goes!

    • @MoraMargaret
      @MoraMargaret  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      My mother did that, she just let it grow slowly out, and there was the bright line between gray and her dyed hair moving slowly down her head. I'd rather get a pixie cut personally. But I've been kind of ignoring the issue for the last couple of years. Interesting times ;)

    • @MoraMargaret
      @MoraMargaret  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I've not been to San Felipe. When it comes to getting a low price property I think the key is going to places you've never heard of, and having a trustworthy agent who can speak for you and get a good deal. Places like Guanajuato are very popular so of course prices are higher. I've not bought a property in Mexico so you might ask others who have :)
