Being offended by history is a good thing if it keeps people from repeating it. The world is full of "uncomfortable " things.. learning to deal without crying about it is what growing up is about.

The Jewish student was not the student who took the photo. Shame on Rebecca for attempting to trivialise and minimise because it was just a "side note - fun fact"! You don't need Holocaust education to know it's wrong to force students to do the Nazi, oops Bellamy salute. Constant white supremacy and anti-Semitic issues and refusal to engage in ADL diversity training show the community has systemic cultural problems. You distract from the issue by bringing up protective behaviours issues?? A lack of honesty is obvious in this video - you can't face your truth. You pretend you are confused and try to complicate when the problem is obvious. You need to work with the ADL extensively until your community gets it right. Having a vote on whether to remain racist or address the issue is inappropriate. You don't do it because of the laws or policies, you do it because you have an ethical imperative.
