There’s nothing I like better than having my hair brushed/styled/braided etc. Back in the day when perms were popular I loved having them put all those rollers on my head because it was so relaxing. My late husband used to massage my head by messing with my hair and it would knock me out. He’s been gone 4 years now and I miss him and those massages. Later this month I am having my hair colored and bleached so I’ll get my massage fix that way. Great video!

In an effort to stay the natural blonde I was my whole life I get my hair colored and bleached three times a year - started in 2008. She uses the little strips of foil with bleach to weave it in. I have tons of foil strips on top of my head and I sit under the dryer for 20 minutes. With a haircut and blow drying after the whole process takes nearly 3 hours and $155. If I attempted all that at home I can’t even imagine how shockingly bad it would look and how many days it would take me. 😂

Rebecca, I seem to remember a while back you did something with your daughter's hair. I have to correct myself when I say how much I love crinkly paper sounds. Well that was something different Rebecca. It brought back memories of my mum doing my hair like than when I had ballet dancing lessons, then she made me have it all cut short when I gave up dancing for swimming 🏊.

My hair was always a knotty mess so there needs to be more pain, hair pulling, and detangler to remind me of my youth 😂 but nowadays I have a better handle on it and I love going to the barber just for the short time they mess with it. I wish there was like some ASMR focused barber around me. I would love like an hour of someone messing with my hair with no music or talking

I mean of course I've African American Roots, and most of the time our hair is different from Caucasian hair, yet similar in some ways depending on a person's bloodline. This was very relaxing to watch. I'm going over to my mother's tomorrow and ask for this treatment. 😂 Mother's are so lucky to have! ♥️

After "leave in conditioner" I also apply Olive oil then use a blow dryer with a comb attached to the end to straighten it out, then I will take my flat iron and straighten it out. Sometimes if I'm lazy I'll just leave it wavy. I just recently learned that there are 3 types of hair in the African American culture. Type A (which is mines, wavy) B. Semi Kinky C) Very Kinky. An example of type A hair is that of a biracial or tri-racial person. B and C depends on the bloodline sometimes, but mostly very kinky. Oh, I almost forgot: I don't style it after I flat iron. I mostly leave it straight hanging or I'll put it in a ponytail. 🙃 Can you imagine being Caucasian with a child with different hair from yours and you know nothing about what to do with it? 😄 You'd have no choice but to turn to a black woman to show you. Lol

@@lrlavalais2068 Whew! That’s a lot of work! But your hair is gorgeous! So, it’s absolutely worth the work. All my life my hair has been stick straight. I needed hair perms to get any curl. Since I hit my 60s, I have so much natural curl. It’s so weird to me. I leave it curly quite a bit.
