I just had to let you know the giant pocket watch is the year my father was born, he was in the Navy, and I live an hour and 20 minutes from Lancaster. If I had the money I would totally purchase that it would be the most amazing piece for me to own.

watching this video and, goodness gracious, i was reminded of my uncle and my daddy. My uncle was a blacksmith and my daddy was a carpenter. My uncle made knife blades and other things blacksmiths do, and my daddy built houses, 3 of which he and mama lived in. Daddy had oodles of tools for building and he had some that I have seen on your video today. My half-brother got all of daddy's items, i got a hand saw that daddy gave to me in the 1970's that he got right after WWII. I absolutely LOVE watching your videos, everyone, no matter what y'all are doing!! My daddy was a great man who taught me how to fish, dig worms, bait my hook, cook, mow, all about trees, and everything in life. My Granny Loflin had some of the tools, too. She was my mama's mama, and a very fantastic lady who loved me and taught me about oodles of things. My daddy was her son-in-law. you and Chris are wondeful.
I happen to LOVE pewter, and am not even a big primitive collector🤣 I think of pewter for old English style homes which is one of my favorite home decor styles! I think my favorite piece you picked up was the antique tool chest ❤❤❤ (and all the tools are such a great BONUS👍)
The bench at 36:10 matches the rocking chair my Dad bought my Mom when my little brother was born. It still has the worn places and scratches. I have seen other pieces like ones I have. That was a great haul.

That trunk. I live in Newfoundland, Canada and I have my grandfather's tool box hand made the same size and the shelves are sitting inside the same way. I use it as my coffee table in my living room. Wow that's cool to see that in your area too.

I live about 45 minutes from Lancaster County. There is a watch museum in the town of Columbia and I think the watch factory was in that town too. WOW, the kids did great with their marshmallow tin find.
FYI: The last desktop chair at the auction is a design I just saw at a 1800's historic home/plantation where a young Abraham Lincoln visited in 1841 (and experienced seeing enslaved blacks first hand). The desk, with an even larger writing desk area was in the business office of the plantation owner.
This was probably the largest auction I've ever been to, but it was fun! It was great talking to you there, and you certainly had to battle for some of your treasures! (This is Dave from 66 Unique Antiques.)
