Upgrade priority: Lights > Audio > Lens > then Camera. A GH5 with professional lights and mics will always make a better video than a FX6 or Red with cheap lights and mics.
Hey! I agree, GH5 is a great camera. But in this video, I talk about talking head creators who will rarely invest in a camera like that. Also, I talk every day with a lot of talking head creators, and all of them don’t want just a better light. They want that blur and also to obtain a better image in low light, also shooting in small spaces. So… the best thing is to invest in a fast lens. As I said in the video, if you want a better image, clearly you need great lights first, but it also depends on what a beginner understands by Better Image. Thank you for you comment 🙋🏻♂️🤗
Thank you Gabriel! I make do with a kit lense for now and plan in getting the sigma in the next year. Do you have any thoughts on shooting in slog3 vs as is?
Hey! Glad you like it! At f1.2 the autofocus I am sure that will hunt a lot. Also, I never tested it and I can’t recommend equipment that I didn’t used. My Sigma Is 5 years old, used in harsh conditions and it works like brand new. I don’t know if Sirui is the same. So… I recommend it because it’s hard to shoot at 1.2, and this one is perfect and tested a lot :)

It is full frame or apsc?
Thanks for the tips, Gabriel! Why do you recommend the Sigma 16mm f1.4 over the Sirui 16mm f1.2? Cheers
