There’s nothing wrong here normal temps on these is 195 -220 degrees that’s it’s normal range. Temp light don’t even come on til 260

I have a 2020 as well and it does the same thing. I am constantly watching the temp as I ride. It will go 80 but for no more than 30 seconds, i have had it go into limp mode. Even with a half windshield

I got a 22 yxz1000 ss xtr I'm seeing about the same exact temps as you. I've read getting a rear window helps with the airflow to the yxz. I got one but it wasn't a big huge difference. People say getting it flashed will turn the fans on at a cooler temp but I heard that voids the warranty. As long as I don't see no higher than 215 I'm just gonna leave it as is but if u find some secret I dont know about let me know. I got brand new machine I bought in august just hit 400 miles like I said same temps as you and I did it without windshield as well and it was about 8-10 degrees cooler.

Also… you might want to look into engine ice coolant… desert racer is promoting it… best of luck!

I'd remove the small bottom portion of the window too. Just get yourself a nice helmet and pair of goggles. These are pretty hardcore machines with few creature comforts.

The temp at the water pump is 10 degrees cooler than where my temp sensor is on my 2021 yxz turbo. Front and rear windows

You need to redo the test in a different location. Your two runs were not the same, your first run with the wind shield you averaged about 1000 RPM higher than the second run. I understand that you went through a couple of corners in the first run were way faster than your unit is set up for, I would have hit it slower the second time myself. The difference in heat these engines make when averaging 7000 RPM is considerably different when averaging 7800 RPM. Find you a straighter stretch and maybe run it up hill or level, put a good constant load on the engine with both runs. Do it with the air scoop on so it is more relatable to stock units. Granted I suspect you will still find there is a difference, but your numbers will be more accurate and relatable.

  • @jimmyers6263

Have your ecu reflashed with fans adj to 195 heat problems gone

  • @joshwebb609

    Run the radiator fans backwards

  • @jeffholsinger3356

Needs a dragster style scoop to catch air above the roof... :D -->>
