TSpoon is the perfect coach for this team. They are new. Never played together. They will grow in every area. Coach has to figure out a lineup with injured players, etc. She has them buying into defense. They will gel on offense down the road.

Marina seems to be at a disconnect with her team. It was prevalent on the floor, also in this particular interview. I think some of that is you know just normal, being down after losing. Her body language, even some of her responses in this interview didn't translate well to me

I love this team and I’m Angel biggest fan. Despite her getting a double double, she misses so many shots. She really needs to work on that. Dana just needs to go!!! Chennedy is the best thing going for Chicago, she always delivers.
Yup agree about angel but I think she draws a lot of fouls which is valuable plus she makes a lot of her free throws. I think she needs someone like CP to help her with her post game and mid range.

This team needs a leader. Love Marina but she’s not consistent atm. Diamond and Dana are inconsistent. Carter has the most potential to be a leader she needs to start.

No team is going to win games against teams with just one shooter! Once that shooter shots not dropping it's leading to a deficit! Having to play from behind down 17-18 pts the energy factor in the end quarter will eventually become an issue as in this case! Too much dribbling, inept spacing and lack of using their post players on offense is one issue affecting the team's cohesion! The ball will always move faster than a player's reaction..Why try to penetrate a defense when you've three competent post players..Liberty scouted the Sky post play and executed their game effectively! Cardozo and Reese should be a one two punch..apparently they didn't practice passing outta the double and triple teams Cardozo was receiving! Angel should be better at finishing that close to the basket! Without fundamentals footwork drills in practice, players in post position won't be effective! There's a discord in the team after the opener that's translated into five losses! Unusual for the talented squad they got but with one perimeter shooter they're not gonna win games against teams with stringy defense! These losses I'm laying at the coaches feet..There's too much individual playground hero ball and too little post and ball movement to the open shot! That's for coaches to remedy same as the personalities that affect the game's outcome! If you're a pro act like a pro and not be distracted by fans, opposing players antics or referees no calls..The win is the ultimate goal of competition that focus is what create legends!

Mebrey sounded off to me with that Angel's response. Literally, Angel was even the one calming her down when she wanted to get into a fight with Laney. Coach also said she doesn't know why Angel was ejected... So i really expected more from Mebrey regarding such a question about a team mate.
I enjoyed the game and they held their own until the end but fouls is what got them in trouble; also the library totally blew out the Indiana Fever so hopefully the next game they will get a win.
Maubrey, Evans, Shields and Lindsey needs to be more consistent!! Ya'll also need to share the ball, to many one on one players with your guards, when you have three big capable of scoring in the paint.
Harrison or Cardosa should be starting for diamond and Chennedy should be starting for Evans. There’s no way the bench should have more points than the starters. Evans needs to be consistent and make smarter decisions. Effort and communication should be at the forefront. Help eachother out when someone is tied up. Angel is dealing with women similar in size compared to college. She seems to be out of control when going to the basketball and can be called for a charge. She has no shot, she just throws it up, that’s why her percentage is so bad to be shooting underneath the basket most of the time.

Teams are packing their defense on the inside because they know we only have a player or two that can make an outside shot. That is why Cardoso and Reese are having such a bad time and both never look to pass out of the post to open players. They almost always put it up even if it's a bad shot.

Yeah I noticed that. But Mabrey is used to taking over the game and she just hasn’t been 100 percent these last few games. They’ll get it though.

This team needs a leader. Love Marina but she’s not consistent atm. Diamond and Dana are inconsistent. Carter has the most potential to be a leader she needs to start.
Angel needs to be that leader like she was in LSU...get the team together and fired up...she does not need to worry about whether she is a rookie...the team feeds off her energy and excitement.

No team is going to win games against teams with just one shooter! Once that shooter shots not dropping it's leading to a deficit! Having to play from behind down 17-18 pts the energy factor in the end quarter will eventually become an issue as in this case!
Too much dribbling, inept spacing and lack of using their post players on offense is one issue affecting the team's cohesion! The ball will always move faster than a player's reaction..Why try to penetrate a defense when you've three competent post players..Liberty scouted the Sky post play and executed their game effectively! Cardozo and Reese should be a one two punch..apparently they didn't practice passing outta the double and triple teams Cardozo was receiving! Angel should be better at finishing that close to the basket! Without fundamentals footwork drills in practice, players in post position won't be effective! There's a discord in the team after the opener that's translated into five losses! Unusual for the talented squad they got but with one perimeter shooter they're not gonna win games against teams with stringy defense! These losses I'm laying at the coaches feet..There's too much individual playground hero ball and too little post and ball movement to the open shot! That's for coaches to remedy same as the personalities that affect the game's outcome! If you're a pro act like a pro and not be distracted by fans, opposing players antics or referees no calls..The win is the ultimate goal of competition that focus is what create legends!

Mebrey sounded off to me with that Angel's response. Literally, Angel was even the one calming her down when she wanted to get into a fight with Laney. Coach also said she doesn't know why Angel was ejected... So i really expected more from Mebrey regarding such a question about a team mate.

Coach Weatherspoon has some "serious" room for growth.
Harrison or Cardosa should be starting for diamond and Chennedy should be starting for Evans. There’s no way the bench should have more points than the starters. Evans needs to be consistent and make smarter decisions. Effort and communication should be at the forefront. Help eachother out when someone is tied up. Double team to lock players up and force turnovers.
Angel is dealing with women similar in size compared to college. She seems to be out of control when going to the basketball and can be called for a charge. She has no shot, she just throws it up, that’s why her percentage is so bad to be shooting underneath the basket most of the time.
Tonight..too many missed shots in the paint and unable to make any 3 pt shots when needed... Camilla also has to get faster...she reminded me of Aliyah Boston tonight instead of herself...Come on...Lets Go Sky!!!

There is a reason that they had 3rd draft pick this year. It seems that the teams with the first few picks are performing the worse, and that's expected. They will gel and continue to get better. They have a lot of new talent and a new coach. Let's keep the positive vibes flowing for them.

Teams are packing their defense on the inside because they know we only have a player or two that can make an outside shot. That is why Cardoso and Reese are having such a bad time and both never look to pass out of the post to open players. They almost always put it up even if it's a bad shot.

All in all, they played a good game. Yes there were a lot of shots missed but Chicago sky is good enough to make the adjustments.. I think the morale went down later on in the game. Coach don’t really have that much to do with the team. She just have to fine-tune it. Remember, it’s a new/young team. I believe teaspoon can do it. But I definitely would recommend teaspoon and the owner of Chicago to have a conversation with the league and that ref who ejected Angel Reese. That was uncalled for I did not see the reason for that. I see clark curse out her ref and she just gets a technical. If I’m not mistaken, the standards should be the same throughout the league.
