Tour Country Star Eric Church’s Writing Room | Lunch with Lindsay Podcast

In the first episode of the “Lunch with Lindsay" #podcast, Lindsay Czarniak sat down with #countrymusic singer-songwriter Eric Church and #nascar racecar driver Chase Elliott. But before recording the podcast episode, Eric welcomed Lindsay and Chase into his writing room for some exclusive, behind-the-scenes content.
As he tells Lindsay and Chase, this room is where Eric writes most of his country music. But in addition to the woodgrain interior and leather chairs, the room itself holds a special place in Eric’s heart because of the stories that live here-the stories behind the numerous instruments Eric has on display.
The first of which is singer-songwriter’s Waylon Jennings’ guitar, who was a pioneer of the Outlaw Movement in country music. The next is the guitar used to record “Mr. Misunderstood,” Eric’s fifth studio album, which Eric’s young son insisted he use to perform. And finally, in addition to an Eric Clapton guitar, he shows us the piano that played the Heart & Soul Eric Church Tour.
For Eric, as he shares with Lindsay, having musical instruments in this room that contain their own stories offer a bit of inspiration to Eric as he writes his own music and, really, tells his own set of stories. When endeavoring to be creative, it helps to be surrounded by creativity…even if it’s solely symbolic.
Finally, before heading off to record their podcast episode, Lindsay asks Chase Elliott if he has a similar type of place in his life to which he tells her about his aspirations for a future home to house some of his most prized possessions. Things like helmets from NASCAR drivers Ryan Blaney and the great Jimmie Johnson.

Thank you for this awesome video with two special people to me. Eric is my all time favorite artist and being a Georgia boy myself it’s cool to see these two do a interview together. But I’ll say I’m really jealous of Chase here. 😂. Hope to see more of the Chiefs house. It’s a awesome place from what I’ve heard.
