I've followed your 731 channel for a while now. Nice to see someone else with the space struggle fitting a garage gym into a garage woodworking shop.
Those rogue plates look awesome.
Finally, a man who actually has tools in his garage with his home gym. Was feeling like I’m the only one left (obviously not though)
Nice garage gym. Great use of the space you have.
I tend to not call the form police on someone hitting 5 plates! Nice.
Somehow you have twice my stuff in half the space with half the clutter. I was wondering where my Amazon deadlift wedges disappeared. Spotted!
Big bang for a compact space.
Seems you watch as many home gym tours as I do
@@Phoenix11720 I know what I like 😅
Casual 5 plate deadlift. Nicely done
Oh snap Matt’s in to fitness too?! Two of my favorite activities from the same guy is pretty sweet! Matthew Peech just did this with a new hunting channel hitting my trifecta! Got my sub 🤘🏼
Got my Athena 80% built. They send everything sporadically. I love it so far!!
Thanks for your honesty re the metal plates. I have had various metal plates too over recent years largely due to various You Tubers getting all misty eyed about them but bumpers are the ones I nearly always turn to.
Nice Space. I remember your first PR4000 video
I notice your color theme and flags, thank you!
I was looking at the amount of plates you have thinking, why the hell this guy have so many 45s, then the deadlift clip played.... lol
Thanks for the video. I'm literally within a day or two from ordering a Rep Athena Rack with the works. This is a great review. Just got my nuobelle's in too!
Aww nice! Let me know how you like it once you get it all set up.
@@liftthebarbell2434 I noticed the thin blue line theme. I'm LEO as well. Were/Are you?
The reason you think the 1" hole spacing is useless is the same reason your bench press sucks. Use the 1" hole spacing for setting up safety catches at chest level and do dead presses.
It's a new channel 🎉🎉
lol not really. But just given new life. I posted a few videos here about 3 years ago.
Great video and information. How much space do you have your gym setup in? Its nice that you can make it work in your woodshop
About 10 x 8 for the set up. Then some open space in front of it to do exercises, sandbags, etc.
Looks great! How do you keep it dust free? I recently started doing more woodworking in my garage and it’s so hard to keep does off the home gym.
Dust collection and I have an air filtration unit. But mostly a leaf blower 😂
Great video and awesome gym! Did you bolt your PR-4000 rack to the floor or a platform or is it freestanding?
I bolted it into the platform
Looking at buying a similar rack setup with the lat pulldown from REP. Can you elaborate on how the bench fits in the rack etc. was also looking to get the 5200 bench but not sure if I can has the decline feature.
The wheels on the bench fit on either side of the foot plate on the low row. Fits perfect for flat bench, but you can't do inclines on it in the back of the rack. You have to move to the front of the rack for inclines.
How did you use that bench as a decline bench??
How does squatting on a safety squat bar differ from the cb4 bar? I have a rep ssb and love it. But ive never used a cb4
Puts a different load on you. SSB is almost like front squatting to me. The CB4, is very similar to a regular barbell feel, but easier on the shoulders.
What is your dehumidifier setup?
Linked in description to the one I have, It's just a small mobile unit and I ran a garden hose under the garage door for drainage. Works very well.
Haha never knew you had this channel...... doesn't look too active. Hope that changes!
You say you aren’t powerlifting but have everything a power lifter would have…
lol I said I wasn't olympic lifting, that I do mostly powerlifting.
@@liftthebarbell2434 that makes more sense 💀

Matt. I’m sure you’re the type to have done research on it and maybe this is your reasoning. But man the thumbnail pics are so crazy why do you have that face on all of them? Your such a good normal guy ,for me I know your a good guy you do good videos but the thumbnail is cringey. Reminds me of a view chasing gen z creator not a grown up Christian man. I know this comes up but picky but I swear I’m only saying it because I love the person you are and I will always keep watching you just in my perspective as a mid thirties Christian woodworking dad the drama pics are just off putting. Bless you and your family
Sorry you feel that way. Yes, I've done a LOT of testing on it. On the other channel, I have a beta feature that allows me to test 3 thumbnails at a time and then it will auto select (and show me which ones do best). Time after time these style get WAY more clicks/views than anything else.
Thank you for your candid honesty--as always. And good luck with the new channel. God bless! @@liftthebarbell2434
