I respect Japanese people for their love of chicano culture and other cultures.. They have like all different subcultures from around the world. Its amazing to see their spirit and curiousity.
Their mind of culture is sharing and embracing. That's why they happy when a foreigners taking interest with their cultures.
Culture WILL DIE if no one do it anymore. The Japanese doesn't want culture to disappears. By sharing and embracing, cultures will keep living on. Things that many westerners failed to realized with their "my culture, my own" thinking
Man, there is so much to appreciate about people embracing car cultures that build upon creativity and style. Can't go wrong with it, G.
Yes. I makes me proud as a Latino to have these people adopt our culture. I hope it gets bigger.
@@satriorama4118 , sadly, the Japanese have people that think like that as well...they call them names such as Genyosha, Kokuryu-kai, Nihon Kokusui Kai, Sekki Boshidan, Kokuhonsha, Jimmu Kai, Tenketo Kai, Ketsumeidan, Sakura Kai, Uyoku Dantai, and a lot of other names which can be found on these links.

Respeto para Japón 🇯🇵 i’m Mexican 🇲🇽
It's pretty cool, i'm pretty sure in Mexico there's a whole lot of diehard Japanese culture fans there! What a beautiful exchange this is
In this day some might attempt to call this cultural appropriation. I call it cultural appreciation and I think it's fantastic!
It actually is cultural appreciation!! Love that chicano culture is reaching that far from here love to see it
They look like they're from Gardena, CA.
I’ve never been to Gardena or never met anyone from there but I can already picture it 😂
I live in gardena. Next to Compton, south central. What you mean? Lol
Great example of respect of craftsmanship between cultures. It's beautiful to see.
I don’t care if some people say this is cultural appropriation. I think this is super cool seeing the Chicano vibes and old school low riders making a comeback not in the West Coast but in Japan!
No real mexican would care. People are genuinely happy when people want to take part in their culture
it's not. they understand the culture and dress like that daily. it isn't a costume to them, it's life
Well they started this in the 80s. I have Japanese magazines from the 90s that my half Japanese half Mexican friend gave me around 96. Our cultures share a lot of ideals so its natural we both admire the other’s lifestyle
Anyone calling this racist is OBVIOUSLY not of the culture and should immediately STFU
@moviemagic, why can they not do it in both places? The low rider, as well as any vehicle in general, is like a work of art and, in some instances, IS literal art, i.e., things like Carhenge, etc.
It is so cool how many Spanish words I hear when this man speaks.
Japanese and Spanish are remarkably similar languages despite that they have no historical connection what-so-ever! It's a really interesting coincidence!
@@fireaza they visited in 1600s... Or was that just Portuguese?
@@fireaza almost all languages were derived from the same tree, so that’s why most countries’ languages in the world seem similar
cool how they dug the vibe and ran with it mad respect
I’m a Chicano who loves Japanese culture
Next anime show where all the girls are lowriders.
Doc Mitchell Not exactly a full-on fanservice considering those genderbent low riders will be wearing Zoot Suits. Only power or muscle cars are the only ones showing nice tit cleavage all while still looking thuggish.
I'd kill to see that
@@whathell6t , some big American cars can serve double duty as either a low rider OR as a muscle car, such as the Chevrolet Impala, for example.
Yes
Haha why in the hell was I thinking of this too 😂😂
1:21 he really met the ogs that is the DUKES CAR CLUB FOUNDER.by the way not to mention he is deep IN THE HOOD LONG BEACH BLVD AND 42ND STREET IN SOUTH LOS ANGELES . THE NOTORIOUS 38STREET GANG TERRITORY DATED BACK TO THE EARLY 1920s RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ZOOT ZUIT RIOTS

The people of Japan never cease to Impress me.
This Mexican-American from Los Angeles loves this video so much.
glad my culture is being seen around the world
I first fell in love with Japan watching movies. Other kids played cowboys and Indians I was a samurai or ninja. Not knowing the differences in Asia. In highschool I read a British novel "Shogun" man I felt like I was living the story. I wanted tattoos since I was a kid and not to mention many of the things japanese men have in common with Chicanos like, Honor, Respect, Duty and so on. When I was graduating highschool deciding what I wanted to do Tokyo was in my sights. Thanks for the 💕 Japan.
japan always knows how to do cool shits like this i love it
I love those classic vintage cars!
I'd love to see an in-depth documentary on this.
Fascinating.

Their cars look really good
I love it made me happy seeing this episode.
Those are some sweet wheels! 🔥🔥🔥
hey, he's even using the left side driver's seat! it's probably confusing for him when he got into lowriders but he owned it! (context, most cars in Japan are in the right side instead of the left)
C.D. ai-0139 left hand drive cars are extremely common in Japan as it’s something to brag about that shows the car is foreign and has been imported. Most super cars and high end luxury cars are in LHD in Japan.
@@fed4511 that's a cool fact tbh!!
One day we’ll take a trip to Japan to see this in person 🙏🏽🔥 hopefully I still have my fleetwood by then
I love everything about this
That's how you do a great video title right there
Guy not only brings Latino culture to japan but also his looks he looks so mexican
Respect and of lot love ❤️ to Japón
That right Japan keep up the Chicano cultures
THIS IS AMAZING !!! 😻😻😻😻
I worked at the biggest taxi dancing club as a teenager in the nineties to support my mother and sister and my coworker's boyfriend was a top Chicano lowrider builder and artist from LA who exported prime rides to Tokyo. There's an amazing true story about East LA and little Tokyo gangsters rescuing some of the girls at my club. I love the Japanese and Chicano lowriders bond!
hello 104 like beautiful car thanks for sharing great video
00:35 - A japanese guy wearing a mexican sombrero with a germanic cross pattée print in it. I love how globalized we're nowadays.

People, Around The Globe ( Word) Want To Know Who Invented LOWRIDER, ITS A Mexican Chicanos’ identity! Culture!
lowriders really started in Tijuana BAJA CALIFORNIA MX, ALTA California, Texas, New Mexico. In the 30s & 40s Zoot- Suiters, Pachucos, Mexicans Started Customizing their Rides Called Bonbas (Bonb) Cars, modifying Suspension Low, nice paint & wheels tires Firmes different from stock, From Los Angeles, and post-WWII era of the 1940s, Zoot-suiters Pachucos, custom bomb, as time went on. In any case, lowriders cropped up in these States,Cities (areas) during the post-WWII era of the 1940s and 50s. They were particularly popular amongst young Mexicans, who adopted the art of rolling “low and slow” (bajito y suavecito in Spanish)
1958, California Vehicle Code 24008 basically outlawed lowriding. The new law made it illegal for any part of a car to be below the bottoms of its rims. However, in 1959, a customizer named Ron Aguirre found a way to bypass this law. He took the invention of hydraulics. Quieted,Silent the law, and police. Hell yeah, slammed bois
Any Chicanos into itasha, kyusha, or JDM?
Juan V. Me. Love JDM and Itasha cars
I used to be into JDM and street scene but I no longer want an s13 like I used to, the car culture is full of hate and half assed idiots, its why I stuck to the 84 Buick Regal and started lowriding, cuz the lowrider car clubs and cruises are so much more of a welcoming place
Lowrider Life i own a 98 civic and I know I will get hate for it but it makes me smile every time I shift gears
