Fun fact, the IS-2s always operated in pairs. One would fire while the other reloaded.

I think that is actually an IS-1, converted to IS-2,
by the addition of the 122mm turret, instead of the 85mm turret on the IS-1. The IS-1 was a pretty formidable heavy tank (like the KV-85). But the Russians wanted to upgrade the gun on the KV/IS heavies as opposed to the standard gun on the T-34. Personally, I reckon the 122 was too much for the compact heavy of the IS. Should have stuck with the IS-1 and upgunned to the 100mm as soon as it was produced in enough numbers. The 122 was more than impressive. But, the rate of fire and ammo storage was not good. The 122 served well in the ISU-122, but the IS-2 was .... clunky and slow. Nice and effective HE shot though. The Red Army had ISU-122's, ISU-152's and SU-152's... no lack of massive power there. Let the IS heavies do the joint job of infantry support and tank vs tank conflict. But, the Red Army wasn't that patient. The IS tank with a 100mm gun? Potentially amazing. But, they were spoiled with numbers of tanks produced. As a German tanker, with even the Tiger-2, facing an IS-2 with a round up the spout, ready to go? You're toast. But!....

Позиция изначально была проигрышная,тигр стоял уровнем ниже и бил в нижнюю часть передка,шансы,даже двигаясь на одной гусле были близки к нулю,но попробовать вероятно стоило....я бы попробовал обойти с другой стороны
