Gnarliest ski resort south of New York for sure and steepest too. It's a really special place when they get the lower mountain open. Nothing nearby can compare.
@ it seems like Look Ma when left in natural conditions would have a similar vibe or even slightly steeper, except for the diagonal cross cuts of the Route 66 and High Hopes trail which makes Extrovert a little crazy. Also I feel like conditions are probably sketchier at BK 99% of the time. Prisma Cornice of course is a different sort of trail. But I grew up skiing Alta and agree with your general sentiment on Vail and steeps. They don't have many worth noting, but then again I also feel like some of their groomers are way too steep for comfort when I'd rather be skiing the same terrain off piste.
@ the fact that I'm comparing anything out west with a PA mountain at all though kind of proves what we were both saying though. Nothing in the region compares.
