Even earlier than that. There were anime pitches as early as 1998, however, they were rejected before the final show which entered production around May/June 1999
Awesome video on this series and was happy to help with your research. A couple other notes on the English dub are that it's confirmed to have aired on TV in Malaysia on TV2, around 2002. Another cast member is heard in the available dubbed episodes, a female voice actor who voiced Juliet. We've not been able to identify her unfortunately
OMG i'm sorry i haven't commented on the video sooner i just remembered about it, the cykuro english dub is something really interesting like any other dubs from this anime, i really liked the video! PS: i'm the one that did the mi pixel art, i changed my username, just wanted to let you know that, happy new year!
Can you do an English Dub History of Tonde Burin (Super Pig)? It also had an English dub by Saban Entertainment who also did the English dub of Hakushon Daimao. Another English dub aired in the Philippines under the title Super Boink; this dub kept all the original music
About time to see this little 90’s anime with such an interesting history behind it being covered, dub or not. Also episode about Asterix and Obelix’s many dubs when!?
Oh and I forgot to watch the full video, and now that I did, I actually have a interesting history with tama and friends or at least finding it, I do have an archive page on tama and friends, how much most of the episodes that he found on TH-cam things to certain other people, however when searching up online and other places there’s been a couple other dub clips around TH-cam, and I can’t seem to figure out where most of these are, and exactly how these people found them, I am so thankful someone finally got to talk about it, because tama really needs to be talked about more
For some reason I stumbled upon this character when I was looking for Cho Aniki for PS1 and for when I was scrolling through the Cho Aniki PS1 soundtrack, weird...
I mentioned this on a livestream, but I was wondering if you could do an EDH on El Chavo del Ocho? It's one of the most influential sitcoms in Latin America, and it's popularity is in large part due to the setting being a typical poor neighborhood and bizarre humour, not to mention unique writing that is pretty difficult to translate to English.

Southeast Asian people watching Animax Asia in 2000s
Today I learned anime history of cyborg Kuro chan began on a tony hawk board
Even earlier than that. There were anime pitches as early as 1998, however, they were rejected before the final show which entered production around May/June 1999
Kuro Chan in Tony Hawk is really unexpected.
I wonder if it's in the remake?
Shawn's Kuro-Chan voice reminds me of Tony Oliver's Lupin
and reminds me of Eric Bauza's Bugs Bunny voice
I love constantly watching videos about this anime despite the fact that I've never watched a full episode of it
It’s on TH-cam but unsubbed

I haven't seen the series as a while... Could it have worked on US syndication or is the content "too much?"
