You use usually about 1tsp per batch of cookies. If you bake a lot, you will definitely run out in at least a month or two. If you only bake occasionally, yeah, maybe a bit longer, but still. It takes a LONG time for it to go bad or be unusable. It’s literally alcohol, it doesn’t go bad quickly.

I actually go through vanilla extract fast. But even more so, I use a lot of vanilla bean paste. That is the way to go if you are a baker.

I used salt to make cookies once, I genuinely don't remember how or why... They were just the worst oatmeal chocolate chip cookies ever, I was like 5. But it was so nasty the memory stayed with me.
