If you wanna learn more about their history and why they haven't got a first win yet I highly suggest you watch 'Dodging Disbandment and Other Extreme Sports: A History of Dreamcatcher.' It is well researched and well written and is super informative. At this point, watching this video is the rite of passage to all new InSomnia. ^_^
Plus, not near as many spoilers as were in this guide.

Soo many questions you made! I'll try to answer some:
Gahyeon and Handong were added from Minx, the two of them had only 6 months of training period. (Fun Note: Handong said korean was hard for her, but both SuA and Siyeon said they did not think Handong was foreign at first because she already spoke pretty good korean when she was introduced.)
Siyeon was the only rock fan before they became Dreamcatcher (Fun note: She was her highschool rock band vocalist and went regularly to concerts of japanese rock bands), but as they started to perform the music, they become very attached to the genre. Nowadays, JiU is a fan of babymetal and loves playing their rockier tracks on vlive, SuA is a major Day6 fan and say in interviews she wish they could go even harder on the rock on their tracks and Yoohyeon also has Day6 as her favorite active kpop group. (Also Dami's favorite Dreamcatcher song is Scar, a rock song - Handong has Full Moon as her second favorite music - also a rock song and Gahyeon loves Chase Me).
You can find official content on two channels: Dreamcatcher official and Happyface Entertainment official. The vlogs started on Dreamcatcher official and are all subbed to english. (Fun Note: content is generally released subbed, or subs are added the very next day max). Happyface channel on the other hand, which has the older videos, it's a struggle to find subbed options. For variety shows content subs, 7Dreamersubs channel is the main plataform. For vlive compilations sbus, there alot of channels right now doing, which is amazing. Definetely check these vlive compilation, I think Dreamcatcher is a group that is at their best when they are given freedom to do and say whatever they want.
A Vlive without supervision is so dangerous with this girls, they spoil things or make so much content for compilations XD

Visual is the person who fits Korean beauty standards the most. The face of the group is the one who represents the group, goes on variety shows, hosts music shows, etc. The leader is the one who speaks for the group in interviews and speeches, guides the group, basically the “parent”. And the center is the person who’s usually in the center during group photos, choreographies, etc. Sometimes, but not all the time, one person can be multiple things (visual/center, visual/face of the group, center/face of the group) like irene from red velvet (she’s the visual and one of the centers) or kai from exo (he’s the visual and center). But they’re not all inherently the same thing. I hope that helped!
Visuals are generally picked based off who fits the Korean beauty standard most, or who is closest to the ideal proportions(height is equal to 8 x the height of your head)

6:20 actually cherry lives with jiu's parents. That video was recorded when she visited her parents. Some idols have bigger sized dog but since they are busy with the schedules, its always their parent who take care of their pets. Btw, i love husky too 🐺🤗 my faves in youtube are K'eyush and Sherpa.

@16:36 that video Siyeon was recording with the crowd was taken in their concert in Jersey City this past December. I know cus i was there!!!! Seeing them live is way better than seeing them in videos. Cameras don't do them justice once you see them live. InSomnias even got them a digital billboard in time square too. They took pictures with it. Man i miss them. Also i was too late to catch your reactions, but just so you know, any dreamcatcher guide that says "2020" in them, will give you spoilers big time if you never heard their newer tracks. So if you don't want to be spoiled, i suggest going to find a more older guide. When i first heard of dreamcatcher i've watch a channel ( which i forgot what it was) that made a video per girl and it wasn't long maybe about 5 to 10 mins per video.
Edit: to answer your question if no one has yet about where they post these videos, its on Dreamcatcher's official channel. If you watching their MVs thats the right channel unless its says 1thek. they have a vlog that's called "Dreamcatcher's Note" you will find all of them in there, even the vlogs they did behind the scenes of their concert tour in America. If you want cuteness, there are plenty to find in there. Their latest Note shows behind the scene of their recent online streaming concert that was on July 4th. I would love to see you react to that. full of cuteness moments. lol
When it comes to liking rock I know that Siyeon was in a school rock band before she joined Happy Face, so I think she helped the other members get into their rock feels.
They added Handong and Gahyeon when they re-debuted as Dreamcatcher
the song you keep hearing them sing on idol shows is for a soft drink like Korean sprite/7up called Chilsung Cider. the jingle for it is rather iconic and catchy is why you hear it so often, along with its crazy dance lol. you can find Chilsung Cider in Korean grocers here in US too.
The song is actually by a duo called Norazo. They're well known for their eccentric songs, and the song titled 'Cider' is one of the most popular one by the duo.

ic ant help but feel that both videos,.. this one and the ultimate guide spoiler relatively equal amounts of music... just different songs...and the ultimate guide is more indepth. this one isnt bad but just scratched the surface,.. but like @SannaKore mentioned,..Dodging disbandment and other extreme sports.. a history of dreamcatcher is more of a mandatory catch up that everyone should watch

With Visuals position, well ofc they're all attractive but visuals meaning closest to Korean Beauty Standards. So they get more attention in videos, interviews and promo to attract non-fans. Because honestly most kpop fans first are attracted by how someone idols looks not by their music or singing capabilities.

Not to hate on the guide or the suggestion for this guide in favor of the other. But you are getting pretty spoiled here to. Just in the Frist 4 minutes you got snippets from the Sahara self made mv, saw a part of black & white live stage, heard the special clip from jiu that's really awesome. They guide is good, but it just spoils as much as the other one xD
Probably the only way to not get spoiled is to react to that one guide that is like 3 years old 😅
And it goes on and on with the spoilers xD but not hating. Just have fun reacting to them and learning more about them, that's the only thing that matters 😁
The great thing is that I've already forgotten! I only skipped through the other one, but it seemed very "hey, let's go down their discography of important releases" at one point.
@@KpopPrince yeah it's the same there. It's divided into 3 parts. Little history about DC, the 8 Title Tracks and I think he also introduces like 6 b-sides and plays them like for 10 seconds.
The only way to avoid that is to skip that part of the guide. But introducing the members they still use some of the b-sides so you will still get spoiled 😅
Like I said if you watch a guide you probably will be spoilered either way 😁
But like you said, you also forget really fast and at most time it was just a few seconds, so don't worry and just watch all the videos later on in full length 😁👍
