Sauce Recipe: 1/3 cup soy sauce 1/4 cup rice vinegar 1/3 cup sesame oil ***1/8 cup to 1/2 cup peanutbutter 2 tablespoons chili paste 2 tablespoons sugar Garlic and ginger to taste EDIT: After reading the comments the recipe posted on the site has way too much peanutbutter
I personally used less sugar and peanutbutter, but a lot of garlic when I made it. Turned out great. Glad so many people found the list helpful (had to dig through their website a little to get it)
Actually made tofu for the first time today using this recipe. Didn't have chili paste, so I used crushed red peppers instead. Used peanut butter for my nut butter. Was a nice spicy sauce, very delicious!

Secret top tip : freeze your pressed dofu for a day or two before use - it becomes a little less soft still, and porous (like a sponge) to soak up your sauce : )
I'm going vegetarian and needed to know how to cook this stuff! You were the first video I found and the last I watched! Awesome video and very informative! Thank you! :)
I'm quite late but if you see this, I'm forever grateful. Those recipes are easy and look delicious. I've sadly been avoiding tofu but I'm now brave enough thanks to you !
You know, even though i'm not vegan I'm always looking to bring more variety into my diet, so I'm going to save this video and try making some tofu next week. :)
love the scrambled tofu recipe so much. crumbling the tofu increases the surface area for the sauce so the tofu tastes so delicious. I added some sugar to the sauce and it really tied everything together for me. I've struggled to make tofu appealing to my palate for years but this helped SO much, thank you!
Cooked tofu for the 1st time today. (Fried, with a little cornstarch coating). The idea of it is so much more intimidating than the reality. And I don't cook at all. So don't be afraid... You can do it.
Ive tried this, it was really tasty, tofu almost tasted like chicken! But i didnt see the full recipe link so i just put the sauce ingredients without looking at it, it was extremely salty, but still yummy 😂 but i will definitely try it again with the exact measurements! 🥰
I was happy to learn a few years ago after pressing tofu for 3o years that simmering it in water that covers it for 15 minutes does the same thing! Whew- what a great hack.
This is the most helpful video I have been able to find. Explains it very clearly and all are quick easy methods. Was watching another one where she said to freeze the tofu for 6 hours but I do not have that time in my day.
Small does not mean ¨as little as you possibly can¨. when talking about liquids, small is certainly more than just a drop, or a squirt, or a tablespoon, or a dazzle, or a splash. Theres a difference between minuscule, tiny, and small. A tiny cup and a small cup are different.
@@dominicwalli Whoa there, I honestly think you're reading too much into my comment. It was a light-hearted joke. I'll concede that small can mean a varying number of things... But honestly, who doesn't? Thanks for elaborating, I suppose.

That’s not the problem. The problem is youtube forcing people to make ten minute videos in order to make more money.

Marinating time depends on the size of the pieces to some degree, but it no doubt helps in both cases.
