  • We decided to bass fish at Fletcher’s Pond and stay at Fletcher’s Landing Resort in northern Michigan. Fletcher’s Pond is filled with many stumps and old trees. However, it’s a great habitat for many fish that include largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, pike, perch, crappie, panfish, and much more. Fishing at Fletcher’s Pond is quite an experience filled with quality fish, great scenery and amazing fishermen.
    The bass fishing bite would come in spurts with Red Angle Fishing soft plastic baits being the most successful. Be sure to bring extra hooks and baits because you will lose a lot of them from snags. But when you catch a fish, it sure is worth it.
    Fletcher’s Landing Resort was one of the best choices we made. This fishing resort is exceptional from top to bottom. Chris and Mike do an excellent job accommodating your fishing needs while staying at Fletcher’s Landing Resort in northern Michigan. The resort is family-friendly and offers fishing boats and pontoons for rent. Enhance your fishing experience at Fletcher’s pond by staying at Fletcher’s landing resort.

    I'm planning a trip there next June to fish for a couple days up there and I live in Iowa. With your experience fishing that lake is it worth the travel to fish it?

      It’s a quality lake and produces decent fish. The environment and scenery is amazing and the people at the Fletcher’s pond resort are extremely friendly. I would say it’s worth it to make the trip.

    Did you try any bluegill or crappie fiahing? I have yet to catch any good size bluegills on this lake. All small ones

      We did not target those species but did see a ton of them. We also saw some good size crappie being caught by a gentlemen with the use of our Wiggle Stick in the JuneBug color. Hope this helps. Fish on and tight lines 🎣

      @RedAngleFishing where can you get this wiggle stick and is it a straight retreive?

    For your wiggle sticks and thick sticks,when you wacky rig those,did you use a weedless hook? I know that lake can get a lot of weeds. Also were you just drift fishing with the wacky rigs?

    • @RedAngleFishing
      @RedAngleFishing  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi Craig, thanks for watching our video on Fletchers Pond - Fletcher’s Landing. We did not use a weedless hook when wacky rigging. We found the most success with EWG and circle hooks. We also only allowed the Wiggle Stick and Thick Stick to fall a few feet before we started popping it up. This seemed to excite the fish more, but also prevented from getting snagged.
      We did most of our fishing drifting during calmer conditions, but we did anchor down a few times when we were getting a lot of bites in one area. We would fish the area until the fish laid off, then we would drift again.
      Hopefully this helps. Thanks again and be sure to let us know if you have any questions. 🎣

      When I drift fish I almost always have a 4 foot drift sock on the back of my boat. Since it's a shallow lake it can get rough so by putting drift sock on back, not only does it slow drift down but also it keeps me perpendicular to the waves so it's less rocky. Only time I don't use a drift sock there is if it's dead calm which is rare on that lake.
