Thank you for the detailed and educative video. I have this exact laptop and water spilled on it last night, from the power button side. I ignorantly put it on immediately after wiping off the water to ascertain it is still working. I just got to know through this video that it was a wrong move. Anyway, the laptop wouldn't power on this morning. Nothing comes up at at, no light, no blink. I tried the power reset hole but it's still the same thing. I plugged in the charger and it charges but the power button lightens immediately the charger is plugged in and wouldn't turn off even when the charger is removed, not until I use the reset hole. Do you think that is a minor fault? I just wanted to know before I dismantle the laptop. Thank you.

I picked one of these up from an auction, but it has an hard drive lock, is there a way to reboot to remove the lock or does the hard drive need to be replaced?
Fingernails are useful tools. Why would I clip them? Do you think you're my boyfriend or something? Why are you so concerned with the length of my fingernails?
nice video. (do wish you would not use your fingernails to complete so many tasks; rather use a plastic tool or guitar pick. your scars, manicure, fingers, etc. distracting, overly prominent )
Not my problem. Hands and fingernails make the job easier. If you wish to spend money on disposable tools all while making the job more difficult and complicated, then you do you. I'm not going to make my life more difficult, wasteful, and costly just because it makes some people uncomfortable. Maybe find out why you have a problem with fingernails and scars. This isn't a manicure channel and it's not about fashion and nice hands. This is a computer repair channel. If you can fix computers without hands, go for it.

Drive likely needs to be replaced, but it depends on how it's locked.

I'm not getting rid of useful tools... useless ones like you I'm OK getting rid of though. You don't need to watch my videos if they bother you.

You can cut your fingers off if you don't like how fingers look, but I'm not gonna chop my hands off just because you don't like them.
