Live version, a rehearsal, no balance between instruments and vocal mics, this is the film track in January 1969. The organ is played by African American musician Billy Preston, he was a good buddy of theirs. George Harrison on lead guitar still searching for a good solo. Lyrics about "brother Malcomb" were not the official lyrics, Malcomb or Mal Evans, was their road manager, a good friend as well, it was a little joke nodding to Mal. John and Yoko on back up vocals with George, John playing bass, an unusual thing for him. And Ringo on drums of course.

I think that was Paul singing to Mal Evans their road manager who was assisting them in the making of the film, but I know enough about the Beatles to know they would have gladly acknowledged Malcolm X. The Beatles were the first white band to stand up to white supremist attitude in Summer 1964, when on tour, the authorities wanted segregated seating in a Jacksonville Florida concert they were about to do. They said NO! Either no segregated seating or we won't play!! the authorities caved, they didn't want a riot with both factions against the police over them causing the Beatles not to give the concert. So many things the Beatles helped change back in the 1960's. Long story....have a great day!! From an "old guy."
