Reviving a $300 Lithium Ion Battery Pack

Lithium-ion batteries are amazingly lightweight, powerful, and steady during use, but sometimes they just will not charge when you put them in their charger. I had that problem with the battery pack for my Husqvarna 115H Automower.
The voltage of my battery was too low for the charger to recognize, so I had to either throw it away (no chance of that) or try to manually charge it. I had never tried something like this but was very happy with the results.

1. Figure out the make and model of the Li-ion cells in your battery pack
2. Find the spec sheet from the manufacturer that shows the proper electrochemical charging process
3. Get a laboratory (bench top) power supply and a multimeter
4. Follow the manufacturer’s specs to manually charge the battery cells one by one
5. The battery should now be in a state that will work with your standard charger again
