  • For Sale #1966FordF100 Junkyard Find. Another wam bam thankya ma'am style video on a 66 F100 in the yard. This old girl is up at the front which means they are trying to sell it. Its at #BYOT in #Elm Mott Texas. She looked pretty decent all things considered. She was rocking an #febigblock underneath the hood. There wasnt much rust to speak of or hardly any dents. How long will she sit before she sells is anyone's guess.

Whoa Nelley, it's an F100 and it doesn't go.....
We got the VIN, we win: F10 for F100 2WD, Y for 352 V8 with two barrel, D for Dallas, TX assembly and the rest is the production sequence which lines up with December 1965 production making this a 1966 model year truck. The Dallas plant closed in 1970.
We got the tag, we can brag: 129 is the wheelbase in inches, which was considered a long wheelbase back then, H for Light Beige/Sahara Beige exterior paint (which you can see remnants of), F100 is the catalog model which is a 1/2 ton rated truck, D81 should denote Custom Cab, C for three speed manual transmission, Ford manufactured, light duty, 17 for 3.25:1 rear end ratio, non-locking, Ford manufactured, 5000 is the maximum Gross Vehicle Rating in pounds, 172 is the HP at 4000 RPM and 61 is the Dallas, TX sales district.
Whoa Nelley, 352 and it's not quite over for you. V8 and maybe still great. F100 and maybe it doesn't have to go. Might not be flat, and that could be that. Was originally beige, and it's up front for a possible save. It might not get squished and the FOMOCO faithful are breathing a sigh of relief and consequently won't be pissed.

If anyone needed a solid foundation to a great project, this is it! No rot, straight body, and complete truck!
I bet you $100 that it has an aftermarket 8 track player in there. You just haven't poked your finger through the 8 track door!😂
I'll wait for the Google Man to decode the VIN, but 1966 is the last year for this body style. Moved onto the bumpside generation.
Either this or the bumpside next to it are good trucks to buy!

Yep thats gona be an FE alright. And judging from the Valve covers thats probably the origonal 352 FE at that I don't think they put a 390 in them in that year not until the bumpside starting in 68 at least

4k? Are they suffering from sunstroke? I might ignore the fact that it's a Ferd, because it's an old blue pickup. They ought to appreciate anyone that will pay half, and even then w/out trying it out that might be too much. Just saying.

Cool old truck. Needs lots of fixing. I like more the one next to it. Im curious though, why is it suddenly all of the working class peoples cars get so overpriced no matter the condition? Same thing in my country. A fully rusted swiss cheese style 2cv or R4 or even Zastava 750 with busted engine and no brakes get priced way more than when they were new. Excuses from the owners I heard so far are just ridiculous...I had luck to get my car just before the crazy season started.
