  • Grieving is such an important experience to keep the heart healthy and whole. We often hate going through it, but healthy grieving can take us to deeper places and strengthen us like nothing else.
But many times, people will say, "But I don't want to sulk, feel sorry for myself and drown in self-pity. How do I grieve without falling into pity?"
In this video, I want to talk about:
    - What grieving is.
    - The importance of processing through any kind of loss.
    - How you can process grieving in a healthy way.

Blessed are They who Mourn. The Church just doesn’t know how to grieve or anything else that is deemed negative. If you’re going through anything, you’re told to “count it all joy.” Even funerals have become celebrations to ignore the pain of loss and just enjoy the good times. It’s sad and unhealthy. Thanks again, Mark👍

I'm currently grieving the loss of how I used to see my church and the pastor. I am slowly waking up to the reality that I've been a victim of spiritual abuse. I've lived my whole life stuck in a performance based church system and mentality. Praying, reading the Psalms, journaling, speaking to my sister and slowing down have been things that make the difference in my situation. Still waiting on God. I know he will make his instructions clear to me in his time.

Weeping through this whole video. There’s a lot of deep pain in my life. I’ve always felt weird about trying to grieve, because nobody died. I’m so grateful for your compassionate and practical approach to grieving, my brother from another mother. When you said you and Melissa released flowers into a stream as a symbolic release of your baby, the tears just flooded more. What a bittersweet act. Thank you so much for your vulnerability in sharing such a deeply personal and painful loss. Again, I’m truly sorry you and Melissa lost one of your precious children. 💔

Please pray for me. I am distressed about the loss of my ex in a motorbike accident I just found out today. I am either squirming with discomfort or crying for hours on end. I keep hoping it's just a bad dream.

Victimization and Self-Pity are go to emotions in grief and so dangerous spiraling into them. It’s like swimming in mud. I need to follow this up with your videos on those two subjects. So grateful for you and Melissa! You are such an amazing mentor! I thank God so much for your passion to share your wisdom! I pray God richly bless you!
